Sick Leave for Maternity. Members who are disabled from performing their duties because of pregnancy or post- delivery problems relating to pregnancy shall receive the sick leave benefits provided herein on the same basis for those whose disabilities are related to physical or emotional conditions. The requirements of Section 8.1 of this article shall apply to sick leave for maternity reasons.
Sick Leave for Maternity. 9.13.1 Any employee shall be granted a leave of absence for reason of maternity which shall include childbirth, false pregnancy, termination of pregnancy and recovery therefrom.
Sick Leave for Maternity. When an employee is medically diagnosed pregnant, she shall notify her supervisor, in writing and in a timely fashion, of her condition and the estimated date of birth. An employee may use sick leave, compensatory time off days and vacation time and be fully covered by insurance during leave for maternity. When other leaves are exhausted, the employee may apply for Authorized Absence without pay, which may extend up to a six (6) week period of disability after birth. After that, if an employee does not return to work, but is not medically disabled, benefits (insurance, seniority, sick and vacation leave, etc.) do not accrue.   • Maternity Maternity leaves, not to exceed six (6) months, shall be granted at the request of the employee.

  • Sick Leave Pay A Nurse granted sick leave shall be paid for the period of such leave at her or his regular hourly rate of pay and the number of hours thus paid shall be deducted from the accumulated sick leave credits of the Nurse.

  • Leave for Family Illness In the case of illness of a member of an employee’s immediate family, meaning spouse, son, daughter, father, mother, or person to whom the employee is legal guardian when no one at home other than the employee can provide for the needs of the ill person, the employee may be granted, after notifying her immediate management supervisor, leave with pay up to five (5) working days per fiscal year, for the purpose of making such arrangements as are necessary to permit the employee’s return to work. The immediate management supervisor may require proof of the need for such leave as she considers necessary.
