Salary for New Employees. Any person appointed to a classification shall receive the entry step of the range for such classification, except, at the discretion of the Executive Director or designee, an employee may be appointed at any step of the range, not to exceed Step "F". When an employee is hired at a salary above Step “A”, the union shall be notified in writing.

Salary for New Employees. The salary for a new employee entering City employment shall be the minimum salary step for the classification to which the employee is appointed, unless the City determines that appointment to another step is in the best interest of the City.
Salary for New Employees. Except as herein otherwise provided, the entrance salary for a new employee entering District service shall be the minimum salary for the class to which such new employee is appointed.
