Rotation of Days Off. All full-time clerks upon completion of one (1) year’s service shall be provided with two (2) consecutive days off at least once each calendar month on either a Friday-Saturday, Saturday-Sunday, or Sunday-Monday. In order to be considered for two (2) consecutive days off, an employee must submit a request at least two (2) weeks prior to said weekend off. When scheduling an employee as required above, the provisions of Paragraph 3 of Article 7 shall not apply. Provisions of this Paragraph shall not be applicable during the month of December each year.

  • Counting of Days Except where otherwise specifically provided, any reference in this Note to a period of "days" means calendar days, not Business Days.

  • Definition of Days A day shall mean calendar days, however, where a deadline occurs on a Saturday, Sunday or Holiday (as identified in Article 25), the deadline shall be extended to the next normal business day.

  • Weekends Off (Full-Time and Regular Part-Time) In scheduling shifts the Hospital will endeavour to arrange schedules so as to provide for a minimum of eight (8) weekends off in every twenty-four (24) week period, and, in any event, at least one (1) weekend off in each three (3) week period. Where a weekend off is not granted within a three week period, time worked on such third weekend and every subsequent weekend shall be paid at the rate of time and one-half. The foregoing shall also apply in cases of short term leaves of absence for Union business approved by the Employer under the applicable provisions of the Collective Agreement where payment is made to the employee by the Union. Weekend Premium An employee shall be paid a weekend premium of sixty-five ($0.65) per hour for each hour worked between hours Friday to hours Sunday or such other forty-eight (48) hour period that the Hospital may establish. If an employee is receiving premium pay pursuant to a local scheduling regulation with respect to consecutive weekends worked, will not receive weekend premium under this provision.
