Request for Vacations. Requests for vacation shall be made on Scheduled Leave forms, provided by the Company, as found in LETTER NO. 56.

Request for Vacations. In order to assure the orderly performance and continuity of the services provided by the employees, each employee wishing to schedule a vacation shall request such vacation in writing as far in advance as reasonably possible, but at least one (1) week in advance of the start of the requested vacation period.
Request for Vacations a) In order to apply plant seniority, employees’ requests for vacations must be made in writing to the Area Manager not later than April 15th in the year in which the vacation occurs. If, because of a conflict of dates, the employee cannot be granted the vacation time requested, the vacation request form will be returned to the employee marked “denied”. At the same time, the Company must provide employees with a vacation schedule indicating weeks already assigned to senior employees. The employee will then re-submit a vacation request form no later than May1st. This second request will be treated as though submitted before April 15th. Requests received not later than April 15th must be answered by the Friday next following May 15th.
Request for Vacations. During the term of this Collective Agreement, the Company will consider requests for vacations prior to July 1 of each vacation year.   • Request for Leave At any time, employees may request the use of short-term leave (annual leave, compensatory time use, or personal leave). Such request shall be submitted on the appropriate form and approved or denied on the form within one week of submission to the appropriate authority (practices of shorter time periods will be maintained) except that current practices concerning emergency leave requests shall be maintained.
