PERSONAL NECESSITY/BUSINESS LEAVE. 1. Up to seven (7) days of unused sick leave, may be used by the unit member at his/her election for reasons of personal necessity/business (Ed. Code 44981). Of those seven (7) days, four (4) may be used at the discretion of the unit member who shall not be required to give verification or explain the reason for the leave. Of those four (4) days, no more than three (3) days may be used consecutively.

Personal Business Leave shall be deducted from the unit member’s accrued sick leave.

  • Personal Necessity Leave 13.2.1 A maximum of seven (7) days of sick leave may be used by an employee in any school year for personal necessity, for the following purposes:

  • Business Leave Each teacher shall be allowed five (5) days per year non-accumulative, deducted from sick leave allowance, for employee absence due to emergency, business, professional, household, or personal matters that cannot be attended to outside of working hours. Prior approval must be given by the administration with the exception of emergencies. The use of business leave will be allowed immediately preceding or following a school holiday, provided a substitute is available. In no instance shall more than two (2) teachers from Xxxx Xxxxx Middle School, two (2) teachers from College Place High School, and four (4) teachers from Xxxxx Elementary School be allowed business leave on the same day.

  • Personal/Xxxxx’s Leave 7.3.1 All full time employees shall be entitled to accrue paid personal / carer's leave on the basis of 10 days per year (or pro-rata thereof for any period less than one year). Part-time employees are entitled to a pro-rata benefit. Paid personal / carer's leave is cumulative.

  • Personal Medical Leave 1. Accrued 100% sick leave may be used at the employee's discretion. Such leave may be taken before or after the vacation described in No. 3 below.

  • Personal Necessity 1.1 Unit members may use a maximum of seven (7) days of accumulated sick leave for personal necessity. Personal Necessity Leave shall be limited to circumstances that are serious in nature and that the employee cannot reasonably be expected to disregard, that necessitate immediate attention and cannot be taken care of after work hours or on weekends.

  • Personal/Carer’s Leave a) Personal/carer’s leave is defined in accordance with Section 244 of the Act and includes paid sick leave (accrued under the AFPCS) and paid or unpaid carer’s leave (accrued under the AFPCS). Casual employees shall have no entitlement to paid personal/carer’s leave.

  • Personal Business Leave A. Each teacher shall be granted three (3) days of personal business leave each year to conduct personal business that must be conducted at times that school is in session. Each day shall be granted with the teacher receiving his/her full contract salary. (Rev: 2007)

  • Family Medical Leave or Critical Illness Leave a) Family Medical Leave or Critical Illness leaves granted to a permanent Teacher or long-term Occasional Teacher under this Article shall be in accordance with the provisions of the Employment Standards Act, 2000, as amended.

  • Association Business Leave An employee shall have the right to make written application for a leave of absence for Association business for a period not to exceed three (3) days. Written application shall be made at least seven
