PERFORMANCE-BASED PAY INCREASES. Each full-time employee assigned to a job classification in Section 2 who has progressed to Step 3 of the range shall be eligible for a performance-based wage increase at the beginning of the calendar year. Except that for calendar year 2021, there shall be a wage freeze and no performance-based wage increases shall be granted. Effective December 28, 2019, such employees shall receive a wage increase of at least 3.5% but not more than 6.0%, with the specific increase determined by recommendation of the employee’s Department Head and approval of the City Manager. Performance-based wage increases are subject to the maximum wage reflected in each classification. An employee's wage shall not exceed the maximum wage for the classification.

Effective December 26, 2022, such employees shall receive a wage increase of at least 3.0% but not more than 6.0%, with the specific increase determined by recommendation of the employee’s Department Head and approval of the City Manager. Performance-based wage increases are subject to the maximum wage reflected in each classification. An employee's wage shall not exceed the maximum wage for the classification.
PERFORMANCE-BASED PAY INCREASES. For fiscal year 2009-2012, no pay for performance increases are authorized and the provisions in 12.1(C) regarding performance-based pay shall not be applicable. The parties agree that employees benefit when their pay is related to their job performance. The City recognizes that tying pay to performance requires a performance measurement system that fairly and equitably differentiates among levels of performance. In addition to the general increase provided for in 12.1(A), an additional performance-based increase will be granted to eligible bargaining unit members on the following basis:

  • Pay Increases a) The pay rates prescribed under Clause 2 above will be increased by the amount of the increase as handed down by the Australian Fair Pay Commission each year during the term of this agreement.
