Pay for Processing Grievances During Working Hours. Grievances shall be processed during the normal working hours of the xxxxxxx. A xxxxxxx must receive the permission of his/her immediate supervisor before leaving his/her position to handle a grievance. Such permission shall not be unreasonably denied. A xxxxxxx shall receive his/her regular rate of pay when grievances are processed with the Company on Company property or any other place which is mutually agreed upon by the Union and the Company. The stewards shall be allowed reasonable time to process a grievance and in any event, the Union and/or stewards will not abuse this provision. Upon resuming his/her regular duties, the xxxxxxx shall notify his/her supervisor. In the event the parties cannot meet during the regular working hours of the xxxxxxx, the meeting will be deferred to a mutually agreeable time during the working hours of the xxxxxxx without affecting the time limits set out in this Agreement.

  • Processing of Grievances (a) Shop stewards shall suffer no loss in pay for the time spent processing grievances or attending meetings with the Employer's representative.

  • Union Activity During Working Hours The Employer and the Union recognize that union representatives and stewards play an important role in effectuating the terms of this Agreement; however, both parties acknowledge that the duties undertaken as a union representative or xxxxxxx are in addition to the their job assignments. Such transfer will be accomplished with appropriate coordination between the Parties and subject to appropriate industry lead times for movements of NXXs from one switch to another. Neither Party shall charge the other in connection with this coordinated transfer.
