Union Activity During Working Hours. Solicitation of Union membership or collection or checking of dues will not be conducted during working hours. The Company agrees not to discriminate in any way against any employee for Union activity, but such activity shall not be carried on during working hours except as specifically allowed by the provisions of this agreement.
Union Activity During Working Hours. The Employer and the Union recognize that union representatives and stewards play an important role in effectuating the terms of this Agreement; however, both parties acknowledge that the duties undertaken as a union representative or xxxxxxx are in addition to the their job assignments. The Union shall notify the Department of Budget and Management in writing of the names of designated stewards and union representatives prior to them assuming any duties. Consistent with the operational needs of the Employer, the Employer shall grant time off with pay for designated stewards and union representatives, including reasonable travel time when necessary, to attend:

A Union Xxxxxxx shall ask for and obtain permission before leaving his/her job in order to conduct Union business. The Xxxxxxx will ask for and obtain permission from the Department Head of any employee with whom he/she wishes to carry on Union business. Authorized agents of the Union shall have access to the Employer’s establishment during work hours for the purpose of adjusting disputes, investigating working conditions, and ascertaining that the Agreement is being adhered to, provided however, there is no interruption of the Employer’s working schedule.
Union Activity During Working Hours. Employees shall, with permission of the Board and/or its designee, after giving appropriate notice to their supervisor, be allowed reasonable time off, with pay, during working hours to attend negotiations, grievance hearings, labor/management meetings, committee meetings, and activities if such committees have been established by this Agreement, or meetings called or agreed to by the Board and/or its designee, if such employees are entitled or required to attend such meetings by virtue of being Union representatives, witnesses, or grievant(s), and if such attendance does not substantially interfere with the district’s operations.

Union Activity During Working Hours. Employees shall, after giving appropriate notice to their supervisor(including the location and approximate duration of the meeting), be allowed reasonable time off with pay during working hours to attend grievance hearings, labor/management meetings, negotiations of their own agency and/or facility supplemental agreements, meetings covering modifications of supplemental agreements, committee meetings and activities if such committees have been established by this Contract, or meetings called or agreed to by the Employer, if such employees are entitled or required to attend such meetings by virtue of being Union representatives, stewards, witnesses, or grievants, and if such attendance does not substantially interfere with the Employer's operations. Any employee exercising rights under this Section shall be limited to his/her operating agency unless the employee is requesting to attend such meetings or hearings at a worksite that does not have a xxxxxxx or representative available or the employee is an officer or representative of a conglomerate local representing more than one state agency. For conglomerate locals which cover multiple work locations, only one (1) officer or representative shall be permitted to leave a given worksite and only one (1) officer or representative shall be permitted to visit a given work site of another agency at one
Union Activity During Working Hours. The Union agrees that, except as specifically provided by the terms and provisions of this Agreement, employees shall not be permitted to engage in Union activity during working hours without prior permission of their supervisor. When Union representatives are scheduled to meet with management during working hours, they shall inform their supervisor as soon as such meeting has been scheduled.
