Limited or Light Duty Policy. If in the determination of the Employer, the Employer has “limited or light dutywork available, the Employer shall offer such work to Employees who have appropriate physician’s medical release. This “limited or light duty” work shall be considered a temporary offering and not the creation of a new permanent position.

Limited or Light Duty Policy. The Employer shall make “limited or light duty” work available for Employees who have work related injuries or illnesses if “limited or light duty” work is available and if appropriate medical release is given by a physician. Employees must be otherwise qualified for the work made available. This “limited or light” duty work shall be considered a temporary offering and not the creation of a new permanent position. If requests for light duty exceed available light duty work, Employees with work-related injuries or illnesses shall be given precedence over those with non-work-related injuries or illnesses. Grievances will be limited to disparate treatment within the Champaign County Head Start Program.
Limited or Light Duty Policy. The Employer may also elect to make “limited or light dutywork available for up to one (1) year to employees who have work related injuries or illnesses if “limited or light duty” work is available, as determined solely by the Employer, and if appropriate medical release is given by a physician. An employee may refuse an offer of light duty outside their shift. However, if an employee offered light duty as a result of a work- related injury declines such work, that employee will be ineligible for worker’s compensation benefits related to said injuries. This “limited or light duty” work shall be considered a temporary offering and not the creation of a new permanent position. Employees who have limited or light duty at the time the Agreement is ratified shall not be subject to the one (1) year limit.
