Layout of the Work. The Licensee shall employ, at its own expense, a California-registered civil engineer or California- licensed land surveyor to layout the Work of the Project and establish reference points and elevations required for the construction. Reference points for the construction shall be set in accordance with layout control points identified in the Request for Proposal. On projects with new foundations (for buildings, site improvements, bridges, light poles, others), the Licensee shall prepare a survey illustrating dimensions, locations, angles and elevations of the construction associated with the new foundation, and shall show the as-built location of the construction on the Project Site Boundary drawing provided by the Trustees. The Licensee shall specify the horizontal location using California Coordinate System, NAD 83 Coordinates. A California-licensed land surveyor shall certify the survey with its stamp and signature, after which the Licensee shall submit it promptly to the Trustees. The Licensee shall prepare surveys and design for excavations and shorings, where required, for the Project. The Trustees have the right, but not the obligation, to check the location and elevation of such stakes and reference points and/or to check Work constructed from such stakes or reference points. Work that is not correctly located shall be rejected. The Licensee shall provide to the Trustees the record survey and a copy of the closure data of the layout of the Project showing the ties to the University layout control points. The information shall be provided in the form of a CD-ROM containing “PDF” and “CAD” files of the same.

Layout of the Work. A. Unless otherwise specified herein, Contractor shall set, cut and lay out the Work as necessary and shall furnish all stakes, templates, platforms, equipment and labor that may be required in performing the Work. All stakes or other marks shall be preserved by Contractor until removal is authorized by Owner. Owner shall furnish, on request from Contractor, all location and limit marks reasonably necessary per the Specifications for the conduct of the Work.

  • Cost of the Work § 6.1 For purposes of this Agreement, the Cost of the Work shall be the total cost to the Owner to construct all elements of the Project designed or specified by the Architect and shall include contractors’ general conditions costs, overhead and profit. The Cost of the Work also includes the reasonable value of labor, materials, and equipment, donated to, or otherwise furnished by, the Owner. The Cost of the Work does not include the compensation of the Architect; the costs of the land, rights-of-way, financing, or contingencies for changes in the Work; or other costs that are the responsibility of the Owner.

  • SCOPE OF THE WORK The Contractor shall furnish all the materials, perform all of the Work, and do all things required by the Contract Documents.

  • SCHEDULING OF THE WORK The number of working days stipulated for this Contract is 5. These working days shall be consecutive. The Contractor is not required to submit a schedule for this project. Liquidated damages will be assessed beyond the number of working days specified above as well as the completion date as noted in this tender form and agreement. The Contractor must advise the Engineer 48 hours in advance of work starting.

  • Completion of the Work The Contractor must obtain Material Completion as defined in Section 6.1.2 below prior to any occupancy of the Project.

  • THE WORK The Work comprises the completed construction required by the Contract Documents and includes all labor necessary to produce such construction, and all materials and equipment incorporated or to be incorporated in such construction.

  • PROGRESS OF THE WORK Notwithstanding any other provision of the Contract Documents, if Contractor fails or refuses, for any reason and at any time, to furnish adequate materials, labor, equipment, tools and/or services to maintain the progress of the Work, District may, in its sole discretion, after seventy-two (72) hours’ advance written notice of same from District to Contractor, direct, instruct, and authorize a separate contractor selected by District to furnish such materials, labor, equipment, tools and/or services necessary to maintain progress of the Work. District may in its discretion deduct the amount of any and all costs, expenses, and/or other charges incurred thereby from the Contract Price then or thereafter due Contractor.

  • Site Work a. Streets, driveways, alleys, and parking areas. Repair and restriping of existing concrete or asphalt surfaces and parking areas provided that no changes are made in width, surface, vertical alignment or drainage.

  • Performance of the Work The Contractor shall perform all of the Work required for the complete and prompt execution of everything described or shown in, or reasonably implied from the Contract Documents for the above referenced Project.
