SCHEDULE ‘A’ SCHEDULE OF SPECIAL PROVISIONS Revision 0 , July 2021 XXXXXX RIVER (RED) BRIDGE – REHABILITATION PROJECT Prior to Contract award, the selected Bidder shall submit a detailed Final Construction Schedule to the Department for review. The Final Construction Schedule shall identify all primary work activities (EG. asphalt removal, excavation, concrete removals, expansion joint removals, fabrication and installation of new expansion joint extrusions, reinforcement supply and installation, placing concrete for end dams, asphalt reinstatement, etc.) The Final Schedule shall indicate applicable time lines and milestones for all work activities and Phases. Throughout the project the Contractor shall notify the Department of any situations that may negatively affect the project’s Final Construction Schedule. The Contractor shall, upon the Department’s request at any time throughout the project, update and submit to the Department an updated Construction Schedule as the Department deems required to reflect any circumstances that may cause the need for an updated Schedule.
SCHEDULING OF THE WORK. (a) The Contract Schedule shall represent a practical plan to achieve Mechanical Completion and Substantial Completion on or before the Guaranteed Substantial Completion Date. Regular job site meetings will be held to discuss job progress, environmental concerns, safety, traffic flow etc. The Contractor shall make available for this meeting a representative with the authority to act for the Contractor. Driveway accesses must be maintained throughout the project. Contractor shall coordinate culvert removal and replacement with residents and businesses. The Contractor must advise the Engineer 48 hours in advance of work starting. Construction shall not commence until federal funding is approved.

The Town of Three Rivers, Maritime Electric, East Link and Bell Aliant may have utilities in the area. It is the responsibility of the Contractor to co-ordinate the work with the utility companies. It may be necessary to brace or hold poles during construction. The method used must meet approval by the owners of the poles, whom are Maritime Electric and/or Bell Aliant.
