INCLEMENT WEATHER/EMERGENCY. In the event of closure due to inclement weather or emergency, the following is applicable:
INCLEMENT WEATHER/EMERGENCY. Closings No teacher or coach attendance shall be required when school is closed due to inclement weather or an emergency. If weather conditions improve and a sporting event is not cancelled then the coaches attendance shall be expected. When the start of classes has been rescheduled, due to the delay in the bus schedule, teachers are required to report fifteen (15) minutes prior to the announced starting time. When school is closed, due to an emergency, teachers will meet with their building administrator to decide what educational activity(ies) is (are) appropriate for the day. The activity (ies) will be determined by a majority of the staff and the Building Administrator. Teachers will be dismissed within a reasonable amount of time, which will be no later than thirty (30) minutes after students have been dismissed.
INCLEMENT WEATHER/EMERGENCY. In the event of closure due to inclement weather or emergency, the following is applicable: If the District decides to close programs due to inclement weather or an emergency, employees will be paid their normal rate for the duration of the closure. If the district decides to request an employee to report to work during the time period District programs are closed, the employee may elect not to report if they believe unsafe weather conditions exist. However, if the employee elects to report to work they will be compensated for any time worked at their normal rate of pay, unless overtime provisions of this agreement are applicable. The District reserves the right to determine whether or not to reschedule any work days lost to programs closure. If the District reschedules closure days, employees will work those days without any additional up day that they did not previously work and was compensated for, the employee will receive an equivalent reduction in their pay for that period.

  • SAVINGS/FORCE MAJEURE A Force Majeure occurrence is an event or effect that cannot be reasonably anticipated or controlled and is not due to the negligence or willful misconduct of the affected party. Force Majeure includes, but is not limited to, acts of God, acts of war, acts of public enemies, terrorism, strikes, fires, explosions, actions of the elements, floods, or other similar causes beyond the control of the Contractor or the Commissioner in the performance of the Contract where non- performance, by exercise of reasonable diligence, cannot be prevented. The affected party shall provide the other party with written notice of any Force Majeure occurrence as soon as the delay is known and provide the other party with a written contingency plan to address the Force Majeure occurrence, including, but not limited to, specificity on quantities of materials, tooling, people, and other resources that will need to be redirected to another facility and the process of redirecting them. Furthermore, the affected party shall use its commercially reasonable efforts to resume proper performance within an appropriate period of time. Notwithstanding the foregoing, if the Force Majeure condition continues beyond thirty (30) days, the Parties shall jointly decide on an appropriate course of action that will permit fulfillment of the Parties’ objectives hereunder. The Contractor agrees that in the event of a delay or failure of performance by the Contractor, under the Contract due to a Force Majeure occurrence:

  • CLEC OUTAGE For a problem limited to one CLEC (or a building with multiple CLECs), BellSouth has several options available for restoring service quickly. For those CLECs that have agreements with other CLECs, BellSouth can immediately start directing traffic to a provisional CLEC for completion. This alternative is dependent upon BellSouth having concurrence from the affected CLECs. Whether or not the affected CLECs have requested a traffic transfer to another CLEC will not impact BellSouth's resolve to re-establish traffic to the original destination as quickly as possible.

  • Pandemic An epidemic that spreads over a wide area, crossing borders and defined as a pandemic by the World Health Organisation (WHO) and/or by the competent local authorities of the country where the loss occurred. Quarantine Isolation of the person, in the event of suspected illness or proven illness, decided by a competent local authority, in order to avoid a risk of spreading said illness in the context of an epidemic or pandemic.

  • Emergency The District shall grant sick leave to employees in the event the employee has an emergency, defined as, a problem that has been suddenly precipitated or is unplanned; or where pre-planning could not relieve the necessity for the employee's absence.

  • Evacuation (1) If the Combatant Commander orders a mandatory evacuation of some or all personnel, the Government will provide assistance, to the extent available, to United States and third country national contractor personnel.

  • Wet Weather In the event of wet weather, work in the open will continue until the particular work in hand can no longer be done safely and efficiently. Whilst it is raining, employees will be required to: Continue to work under cover or relocate to alternative work under cover, on site. Obtain materials and services for employees working under cover where there is only minimal exposure to inclement weather. When required, perform emergency and safety work. In addition, work on unexpected breakdowns, which can be corrected in limited time duration. Should a portion of the project be affected by wet weather, all other employees not so affected shall continue working in accordance with award conditions, regardless that some employees may be entitled to cease work due to wet weather. If a halt to productive work occurs due to inclement weather, the parties agree that employees may be relocated to other unaffected sites. Where the above steps are not possible, affected employees may be required to attend tool box meetings, work planning sessions or skills development activities, all of which will count as productive time for payment purposes.

  • Sabotage Sabotage is of concern to all Parties involved on any work site and may affect safety, and therefore both the physical and mental well being of all persons on site. The Parties to this Agreement will not tolerate sabotage, and will ensure that any person/s responsible for such action is immediately dismissed. It is accepted that the relevant authorities may have to be notified, and provisions of the OH&S Act implemented.

  • Earthquake including land shock waves or tremors before, during or after a volcanic eruption;
