Health and Safety and Wellbeing. (a) The parties recognise the importance of ensuring good and safe working conditions through health and safety in the workplace and that it is a mutual obligation of the employer and principal to achieve this through a participative approach.

Health and Safety and Wellbeing. Health and Safety: Amend wording to clause 7.2 as detailed in Annex 4. This new wording encourages increased support staff participation in their school’s health and safety culture.
Health and Safety and Wellbeing. The parties recognise the importance of ensuring good and safe working conditions through health and safety in the workplace and that it is a mutual obligation of the employer and principal to achieve this through a participative approach. To this end attention is drawn to the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 (external link). These Acts, and other legislation, relevant Codes of Practice and Guidelines are reference points for a gaining common understanding of what those obligations are, what will assist in meeting those mutual obligations and also in promoting best practice. Where a principal's health and safety is shown to be at risk in the carrying out of her/his duties the employer shall take all reasonable steps as are necessary to remove or minimise the identified risk for the principal and if appropriate, to do so in consultation with the relevant health and safety authorities.
Health and Safety and Wellbeing. 26.1 The employer shall comply with the provisions of the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 and subsequent amendments concerning safety, health, and welfare matters. The parties to this agreement agree that employees should be adequately protected from any safety and health hazard arising in the workplace. All reasonable precautions for the health and safety of employees shall be taken.
Health and Safety and Wellbeing. 7.1 Parents/guardians/caregivers must advise the school immediately if they become aware of any special needs impacting on the student's wellbeing or such changes that have the potential to negatively impact other students. Defining the information required by the school and/or detail the relating to the student’s background may include, but not limited to, any medical, physical, psychological, social or legally binding needs, and or any changes to the students’ needs.
