EMPLOYEE-REQUESTED CONFERENCES. ECHO and ECHOEA recognize the importance of professional growth through attendance and participation at local, state, and national conferences and workshops. The Executive Director or his/her designee shall provide the Association and employees with written procedures for employee-requested conferences. The employee will place the request into the electronic tracking system. When an employee’s request to attend a professional conference, workshop, academic course, or activity outside of the ECHO program has been approved by the Administration, said employee shall experience no loss of pay or benefits. The Executive Director or his/her designee shall determine what costs incurred relative to the activity shall be paid by the Board. The total payment by the Board for each employee-requested conference shall not exceed three hundred dollars ($300.00). Employees who request to attend a conference shall submit a written request on a form designated by the Administration no later than fifteen (15) school days prior to the closing date for registration for the proposed conference. If the request is denied at the program level by the program administrator, the employee will receive the program administrator’s reason(s) in writing for said denial within fifteen (15) school days of submission of the request to attend the conference. Any conference not meeting the 15-day timeline can be considered on a case-by-case basis. The program administrator’s approval of conference attendance is subject to the review of and approval by the Business Office and the Executive Director.

Within the first thirty (30) days of each school term, a program supervisor shall advise his/her assigned staff regarding the budgeted amount for Conferences for the school term and the supervisor’s plans at that time, if any, for the use thereof. The Executive Director or his/her designee shall provide the Association and employees with written procedures for employee-requested conferences. When an employee’s request to attend a professional conference, workshop, academic course, or activity outside of the ECHO program has been approved by the Administration, said employee shall experience no loss of pay or benefits.   • Employee Requests To reduce the impact of a layoff, an employee may request a voluntary layoff, leave without pay, a reduction in compensation, reduction in hours of work, or movement to a funded, vacant exempt position for which the employee is qualified. If it is necessary to limit the number of employees who are on unpaid leave at the same time, the President, reporting Vice President, or designee, in consultation with the Associate Vice President for Human Resource Services and/or designee, will determine who will be granted a leave without pay and/or reduction in hours based upon business and staffing needs. The decision regarding whether to move an employee to a vacant exempt position is discretionary with the College.

  • Employee Request Subject to the operational requirements of the service, the Employer shall make every reasonable effort to ensure that an Employee's written request for vacation leave is approved.   • Employee Personnel Files 1. There shall be only two files established for maintenance of employee performance and discipline records. The official personnel file, secured at the SPS office and the working building/program file secured at the building/program.

  • Employee Personnel File A copy of any formal discipline report to be entered on an employee's file will be given to the employee. The employee will be required to sign Management's copy. Such signature will indicate receipt of formal reprimand only. Subject to giving the Employer advance notice, employees shall have access to their personnel file as soon as practicable within seven (7) days of a request.
