Conference Attendance. Effective October 1, 1996, unit employees shall be entitled to up to four (4) days administrative leave of absence within any two consecutive fiscal years subject to the following conditions:

Conference Attendance. The Federation will be entitled to five (5) person days per year release time for designated Federation representatives to attend conferences. All conference expenses will be the responsibility of the Federation, unless funding is requested and approved through regular District processes for conference attendance.
Conference Attendance. 1. A teacher who requests a conference leave shall file such request with the appropriate administrator no later than three (3) weeks prior to the conference. Reimbursement for approved expenses incurred while attending an approved conference will be allowed as listed in the following schedule, provided that the teacher submits receipts and an itemized claim:
Conference Attendance. The Board of Education of the Elk Grove Unified School District recognizes that conference attendance by Board members, administrators, and teachers bring new ideas and stimulation to the district and results in better education. Therefore, the district encourages conference attendance within the financial resources of the district.

Exceptions to this rule, such as late notice of a meeting, shall be handled through the building principal. Conference Attendance. The Board agrees to provide, upon application by the teacher and approval of the Administration, necessary funds to attend select professional conferences. Each teacher shall submit receipts for all expenditures for such conferences. The teacher shall submit a brief written report regarding such conferences. When a teacher is asked to attend a conference by the Administration or Board, the conference time shall not count against the personal or professional days listed in Section A of this Article, and necessary funds shall be provided.
Conference Attendance. Employees who attend voluntary professional development activities after hours and/or weekends, shall not be paid for their attendance. The District will pay for registration, meals, and accommodations. There will be no extra consideration or evaluative penalty for anyone choosing or not choosing to attend.

Conference Attendance. If the Superintendent requests that a teacher or teachers attend workshops, seminars, or conferences, the Committee shall pay reasonable expenses including, but not limited to, registration fees, meals, lodging, and/or transportation incurred by teachers who attend such workshops, seminars, or other approved professional improvement sessions. If the teacher requests attendance at a workshop, seminar, conference or other professional improvement seminar, said reasonable expenses shall be paid if such attendance receives the prior approval of the Superintendent.
