EMPLOYEE REPRESENTATIVES/STEWARDS. 6.1.1 In General Union may, by written notice to the Executive Director, designate no more than 5 of its members as Employee Representatives/Stewards. Employee Representatives/Stewards shall be permitted reasonable time for Union activities as described in this section. In all cases, the Representative shall secure permission as far in advance as possible from the employee’s Supervisor before leaving a work assignment and shall not interrupt agency business to discharge Union duties. Such permission shall not be unreasonably withheld. Each Employee Representative/Xxxxxxx shall have up to 4 hours per month of Authority time to conduct Union business, including but not limited to, Union meetings, grievance investigations, appearances at grievance hearings and disciplinary matters. Employee Representatives/Stewards named to the Union’s bargaining team shall have additional reasonable release time to attend labor agreement bargaining sessions.

EMPLOYEE REPRESENTATIVES/STEWARDS. A. In General AFSCME/MCEA may select one (1) Employee representative (xxxxxxx) and one (1) alternate representative for each location where Employees covered by this MOU are normally assigned, except that for the Department of Social Services (DSS), AFSCME/MCEA may select two (2) Employee representatives (stewards) and two (2) alternative representatives (stewards). Representatives of AFSCME/MCEA shall have reasonable access to Employees, during their scheduled rest periods, provided such access does not interfere with County business. Department Heads and first-line supervisors will be notified by the Employer of the provisions of this Section. Solicitation for membership shall not be conducted during working time.

  • EMPLOYEE REPRESENTATIVES 13.01 The Employer acknowledges the right of the Alliance to appoint or otherwise select employees as representatives.

The UFF grievance representative shall have the responsibility to meet all classes, office hours, and other duties and responsibilities incidental to the assigned workload. Some of these activities are scheduled to be performed at particular times. Such representative shall have the right during times outside of those hours scheduled for these activities to investigate, consult, and prepare grievance presentations and attend grievance hearings and meetings. Should any hearings or meetings with the President, Board or their representatives necessitate rescheduling of assigned duties, the representative may with the approval of the appropriate administrator, arrange for the rescheduling of such duties or their coverage by colleagues. Such approval shall not be unreasonably withheld.

  • Consultant’s Representative Consultant hereby designates XXXXXX, or his or her designee, to act as its representative for the performance of this Agreement (“Consultant’s Representative”).   • Employee Relations Committee ‌ The parties agree to an Employee Relations Committee (E.R.C.) to address issues of concern to both employees and the Employer. The meetings will be held as needed at the request of either party at the store or at an otherwise mutually agreed location. The Union Representative and up to two (2) bargaining unit employees or their designates. Subjects addressed may include health and safety, housekeeping and maintenance. Issues that arise between meetings may be presented in writing to management or the Union. The Employer will reply in writing or determine that an additional

  • Employee Who Acts as Representative Where an employee wishes to represent at a meeting with the Employer, an employee who has presented a grievance, the Employer will, where operational requirements permit, grant leave with pay to the representative when the meeting is held in the headquarters area of such employee and leave without pay when the meeting is held outside the headquarters area of such employee.
