Daily Hours of Work. Article 11.1 (a) and (b) encompasses all employees unless otherwise stated in this Agreement.
Daily Hours of Work. Seven (7) hours shall constitute an ordinary days work and thirty-five (35) hours a week prevails. Daily hours of work shall fall between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday inclusive. The daily hours shall be worked within an eight-hour period.

24.2 In a special situation of short duration, changes of shift will only be allowed for safety and production reasons. The Union will be informed prior to these changes taking place.
24.3 A fifteen (15) minute rest break will be provided in each full half shift which will include travel time from the employee's work station to the cafeteria and return.
24.4 Where shift rotation is required, such shifts shall be rotated equitably on a weekly basis and no employee will be required to work more than one (1) week on the same off shift. No employee will be sent home with instructions to report on a later shift, without his/her consent, provided there remains a junior employee who is capable of performing the work. Unless with the consent of an employee, when a change of shift rotation of five (5) days or more is required, an employee will be given two (2) working days notice. Where a fixed shift other than day shift is utilized, a senior employee holding the classification shall have the right to volunteer and shall receive preference over a junior employee. If no employee volunteers for the fixed shift, the junior employee will be assigned the shift.
Daily Hours of Work. Regular hours worked in any one (1) day shall not exceed seven (7) hours unless mutually agreed to for the sole purpose of reducing the number of days in the work week.

Daily Hours of Work. Any provision related to the specification of the number of daily weekly hours of work that existed in the hospital's expiring collective agreement, will be continued as Article "The Hospital will schedule one fifteen (15) minute rest period for each full scheduled half shift." This is not cumulative and any additional occurrence over and above the three (3) allowed will result in loss of pay. Also, any incidence of lateness over and above five (5) minutes will result in loss of pay.
(d) In a special situation of short duration, the above shifts may be modified by mutual consent of the Union and the Company, and neither party shall unreasonably withhold consent to such change. Modified starting and finishing times may be one (1) hour earlier, with provisions made for coverage of the shipping and receiving functions.

(e) When mutually agreed between the Company and the Union, summer hours shall run from the 1st Monday after Canada Day until and including the Friday before Labour Day. During this designated timeframe vacation can only be booked in one (1) week periods Monday to Friday. Personal days will not be considered during this timeframe. It is expressly understood and agreed the summer hours are considered regular working hours during this period therefore the provisions of Article 8.1 (b) and 8.2 (a) are not applicable during this timeframe. Starting and finishing times for Monday thru Thursday will be 7:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. with Friday’s being ½ days from 7:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
(a) An employee shall be paid at the rate of time and one half for time worked outside of his regular working hours in any one day.
(b) An employee shall be paid at the rate of time and one half for all work performed on Saturday.
(c) An employee shall be paid at the rate of double time for all work performed on Sunday and paid holidays.
(d) As far as practical overtime shall be distributed equally among employees who normally perform the work and who are actively at work. It is understood that employees who refuse to work overtime will not be disciplined for such refusal, but overtime refused will be charged against the...
