COLLEGE COURSE DESCRIPTION. This course explores the digital software used for graphic design, multimedia, and web design, specifically the use of vector (Adobe Illustrator) and raster images (Adobe Photoshop). Using the design process, students will create projects that require the use and comprehension of various file formats and color modes used in print and web design. Input devices such as digital cameras and scanners will be used to enhance projects. The elements of art and principles of design will be introduced as students develop aesthetic compositional skills.
COLLEGE COURSE DESCRIPTION. This course covers the social, emotional, physical and cognitive development of the school-age child ages five through twelve. A focus on culturally relevant differentiated curriculum and environmental design to meet the needs of all children, including those with special needs will be incorporated. Students will develop strategies to guide and support children's behavior based on individual needs. Careers working with school-age children will also be explored. This course meets the requirement of a School-age course for the Child Development Permit Matrix with a School-Age Emphasis.

There is an emphasis on the theory of the basic operating systems, including engine, electrical, chassis, and driveline systems. This course is designed for the student seeking a career as an automotive technician as well as the home mechanic or who wants to learn about his or her automobile.
COLLEGE COURSE DESCRIPTION. An introduction to electronic game development with an emphasis on computer animation and programming. Computer animation will introduce the student to an overview of character modeling, rendering, animation, illustrations, storyboarding, and game design. An overview of computer programming will introduce the student to gaming structures, animation techniques, design fundamentals and programming options. Both of these concepts are very important for students entering the Gaming industry.

Topics include how to realistically assess, review, and interpret various areas such as interests, attitudes, values, priorities, skills and strengths, goals, and career options in the current job market. This course also covers financial literacy.” Couns-034 “This course is designed to help students develop the critical thinking skills and personal confidence necessary to succeed in college. Topics will include problem solving techniques, learning styles, time- management, goal-setting, study skills and test-taking strategies, stress management and LMC support services.”

This course is a study of the complex workings of the criminal justice system which includes law enforcement, the court system, and corrections. Roles and expectations of the criminal justice system and society, crime causations, punishments and rehabilitation, ethics, educations, and training for the various careers will be analyzed. If you are looking for a career in the field of criminal justice, this course is a “must have” so that you can understand how it all fits together. This is the foundation course for a degree in criminal justice and fulfills a general education requirement.
COLLEGE COURSE DESCRIPTION. This course provides an introduction to the theory, terminology, and operation of single camera video production, including composition and editing techniques, camera operation, portable lighting, video recorder operation, audio control and basic editing. This course focuses on the aesthetics and fundamentals of scripting, producing and directing on location, post production, and exhibition/distribution.
COLLEGE COURSE DESCRIPTION. This course is an introductory course to medical careers with an emphasis on emergency medical services. Students who successfully complete this course will obtain an American Heart Association CPR/Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification card. EMS-009 meets and exceeds the requirements for the California Emergency Services Agency First Aid Standards for Public Safety Personnel, which is the minimum required level of medical training required for CAL-FIRE seasonal personnel, Police Officers, Lifeguards and any other occupation classified under Public Safety in the State of California. Students who successfully complete EMS 009 are eligible to apply for employment in a diverse array of positions which include public safety as well as many others, some examples of these occupations are: lifeguards, public safety officers, police officers, childcare providers, security guards, coaches and for positions with California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection as seasonal wildland Firefighters. In addition, students will develop an educational pathway into the EMT, paramedic, fire technology, nursing, physician assistants and other Allied Health occupations. This course has mandatory lab fees, this course meets the prerequisite for EMS 010 since we issue a CPR BLS card upon successful completion of EMS 009.
COLLEGE COURSE DESCRIPTION. Explores capturing, digitizing and editing images. Students will learn to digitize images and use industry standard software (Adobe Photoshop) to edit, manipulate, retouch, enhance and composite digital images. Explores digital workflows, color management, digital effects, and output methods used to achieve the best possible output from digital image files. Emphasis is on meeting aesthetic and technical requirements of the commercial arts and graphic design industry.
