Clinical Professor. Persons applying for initial appointment to a position as a member of the College of Law’s non-tenure-track Clinical Faculty will be evaluated based upon the demonstrated potential for excellence as a teacher in the College’s clinical program as shown by educational achievement, prior practice of law, prior teaching, and/or other relevant achievement and skills.
Clinical Professor. For all subsequent appointments, a Clinical Professor must demonstrate excellence in teaching, outstanding lawyering skills, commitment and contributions to the improvement of the law, the legal system, legal education, and the profession, and academic and community service. A Clinical Professor applying for a five-year appointment, in addition to the above, must demonstrate the likelihood of continued growth as a Clinical Professor pursuant to the criteria kept on file in the Xxxx’x office at the College of Law entitled, “Criteria, Standards, and Procedures for the Appointment of Non-Tenure Track Clinical and Legal Writing Professors.”
Clinical Professor. They shall have completed advanced certification or credentials or have established a record of high distinction in in professional activities since the last promotion, in addition to a consistent and successful record of development in teaching, of service to the college and students, including academic advising. Shall have served at least five years at the rank of Associate Clinical Professor. Clinical Faculty positions are most appropriate to address needs within defined areas of teaching expertise or practice, including but not limited to studio, student teaching mentorship, laboratory oversight, applied lessons and practicum supervision.

Clinical Professor. In addition to the qualifications required of a Clinical Associate Professor, the appointee shall have demonstrated a degree of excellence in clinical practice and teaching sufficient to establish an excellent regional and national reputation among colleagues. The appointee shall also have demonstrated extraordinary professional competence and leadership. Appointments for Clinical Professors shall be for five (5) years with possible reappointments.
Clinical Professor. A Clinical Professor will be appointed for an initial appointment of six years and may be reap- pointed for additional periods of six years.

Clinical Professor. Promotion to this rank presupposes the distinguished fulfillment of the requirements of the lower ranks. To the extent not already required in the lower ranks, a doctorate in the appropriate field is required.
Clinical Professor. The position of clinical professor (e.g., clinical professor of education) may be renewable or terminal. It is held by a distinguished practitioner in a field who is able to teach effectively and make other contributions to an academic program, but who may not meet the criteria for appointment to a ranked faculty position. A clinical professor may be full-time or part-time and carries an assigned teaching load and an expectation of departmental or School rather than University service. Other duties will be specified in the letter of appointment and as modified by any subsequent letter of reappointment from the Xxxxxxx. The minimum term for a clinical professor is one academic year.
Clinical Professor. The term of an initial fu l l - t i me appointment as clinical professor will be three (3) years as specified in the letter of initial appointment. The specific duties and responsibilities (the “duties”) of a clinical professor emphasize teaching and departmental service as specified in the letter of initial appointment. Details of a faculty member’s load may be modified by the Xxxx. Unless otherwise specified in the letter of initial appointment or subsequent correspondence from the Xxxx, clinical professors are not subject to the normal expectations for research or creative activity or University service. A clinical professor is expected to perform service at the level of the department, program, or School.
