Cash Payment for Sick/Personal Leave. At the end of the fiscal year, members of the bargaining unit may exercise one of two options regarding any sick leave/personal leave days fewer than sixteen (16) used during the previous year: • Allow the balance to remain intact for possible future need. (Accumulate it.) • Convert up to one-half of the unused balance for the year into a cash payment computed as 0.00278 times the current annual salary times the number of eligible days. The cash payment provision will apply only to the portion of the annual credit allowances not used each year. Only days accumulated during the current year at Cincinnati State Technical and Community College may be cashed in pursuant to this provision. No employee may exercise the cash payment provision until he/she has exceeded thirty-five (35) days of accumulated sick leave/personal leave. The number of days “cashed in” cannot result in a remaining accumulated balance of fewer than thirty-five (35) days.

Only days accumulated during the current year at Cincinnati State Technical and Community College may be cashed in pursuant to this provision. No employee may exercise the cash payment provision until they have exceeded thirty-five (35) days of accumulated sick leave/personal leave.   • Application for Personal Leave 21.24 Reasonable and legitimate requests for personal leave will be approved subject to available credits. Subject to clause 21.8 the employer may grant personal leave in the following circumstances:

  • Personal Leave With Pay With prior notification, full-time employees who are eligible to accrue sick leave may use a maximum of six (6) days personal leave with pay per year, provided that such days shall be charged against the employee’s current accrued sick leave. This leave is non-cumulative.

  • Paid Personal Leave A. During the first full pay period in each January, full-time employees on the payroll as of September 1, 2011 will be credited annually with paid personal leave credits at the following rate: Scheduled Hours per Week Personal Leave Credits 37.5 hours per week 37.500 hours 40.0 hours per week 40.000 hours Such personal leave may be taken during the following twelve (12) months at a time or times requested by the employee and approved by his/her Appointing Authority.   • Payment for annual leave (a) Before going on annual leave, an employee will be paid the amount of wages they would have received for ordinary time worked had they not been on leave during that period.
