Banking Holidays. If the due date of any invoice falls on a Saturday or a Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday which is not a Business Day, payment will be due on the preceding Business Day. If the due date falls on a Sunday or a Monday which is not a Business Day, payment will be due on the following Business Day. All payments made pursuant to the Agreement will be made to the account specified in writing by the Party to whom the payment is owed.

Banking Holidays. An employee may elect to bank as lieu days up to five (5) general or designated holidays annually to be taken as time off provided the banking of such lieu days does not interfere with the normal work schedule. An employee may elect to bank lieu days only when a general or designated holiday falls within his or her period of annual vacation or on the employee's regular day off, whether working or not, to a maximum of eight (8) hours. The banked days shall be taken at the discretion of the employee but with the approval of the Management Representative. * SECTION (4) 7 - TRANSIT SUPERVISORS' BOOKING RULES AND COORDINATORS, COMM UNICATIONS-TRANSIT CONTROL ROOM SHIFT SCHEDULE *(4)7 .1 SENIORITY All permanent staff in the Transit Operations Branch shall be booked in accordance with bargaining unit wide seniority and only those who are trained and are qualified to work Control shifts may book Control shifts. All things being equal, seniority shall prevail. It is understood that Coordinators, Communications-Transit Control Room employees follow a rotating shift schedule as determined by rnanagernent. Managernent will con�uit with the Union and consider recommendations prior to making any changes to the shift schedule. Coverage of Work � Coordinators, Communications-Transit Control Room When management determines that a shift requires coverage, the shift will first be offered to Coordinators, Communications-Transit Control Room. If there is no Coordinator available to cover the work, the required work may be covered by a Transit Supervisor already on duty. * NOTE: A qualified Transit Supervisor may be forced to book on Transit Supervisor positions.

  • Floating Holiday All employees except intermittent, emergency, and temporary employees shall also receive one (1) floating holiday each fiscal year of this Agreement. However, seasonal employees shall be eligible for only one (1) floating holiday per season and intermittent employees shall receive one (1) floating holiday each fiscal year of this Agreement if they complete ninety-one (91) working days in that fiscal year. Unless waived by the supervisor, the employee must request the floating holiday at least fourteen (14) calendar days in advance. The Appointing Authority may limit the number of employees that may be absent on any given day subject to the operational needs of the Appointing Authority. Any conflicts for requested holidays shall be resolved on the basis of State Seniority within the employee's work unit. The Appointing Authority shall make a reasonable effort to approve the requested holiday. Floating holidays may not be accumulated. An employee who has not requested the floating holiday by March 1 of each fiscal year or by thirty (30) calendar days prior to the end of an employee's season shall be scheduled to take a floating holiday on a day chosen by the Appointing Authority or be paid for the floating holiday in cash at the option of the Appointing Authority.

  • Annual Holidays (i) On completion of 12 months continuous service an employee shall be entitled to annual paid leave of 4 working weeks.

  • Worked Holidays Employees who are required to work on the above-named holidays shall receive the pay due them for the holiday, plus double their base rate for all hours worked on such holiday, plus shift differential if applicable, unless the employee starts to work at 10:00 P.M., or thereafter on that day.

  • Designated Holidays A part-time employee shall not be paid for the designated holidays but shall, instead be paid a premium of four and one-quarter (4.25%) per cent for all straight-time hours during the period of part-time employment.
