ASSIGNMENT OF SHIFTS BY SENIORITY. The employees within their classification and department shall have the right to bid and receive hours of work determined by seniority within the respective four (4), five (5), six (6), seven (7), or eight (8) hour shifts. This right of the employee shall not extend to the creation of sixth or seventh consecutive days of employment or overtime.
