Assessment While on Any Probation. Since probation is the final step in the selection process, the following procedure will be followed as a minimum in the evaluation process. Performance requirements established by the employer will be communicated to the employee, in writing, at the outset and discussed during the employee's probationary period. Performance requirements will be established based on the classification specifications and the job descriptions and will include the responsibilities, qualifications, skills, abilities and experience appropriate to the job. The immediate supervisor shall evaluate performance by direct observation on at least two (2) different occasions Two (2) written performance assessments will be completed for each employee during the probationary period. Performance assessments will be conducted at two (2) and five (5) months in the case of a six (6) month probationary period (130 working days) and five (5) and eleven (11) months in the case of a twelve (12) month probationary period (260 working days). Performance assessments will be discussed with the employee and shall be signed by the employee to indicate awareness of the assessment. Employees will be advised whether they have successfully completed the probationary period. A current job description is required when the final probationary review is complete. Prior to agreement to extend a probationary period, in accordance with article 6.2.3, the employer will meet with the employee and provide written expectations required of the employee in order to pass probation. In all cases, the employee will be given a copy of any performance assessment. Upon successful completion of any probationary period the employee shall be informed of their status in writing. On Initial Employment All employees, upon initial employment, shall serve a probationary period for the period of 6 months (pay band 1-3), or 12 months (pay bands 4-10) as appropriate for the position they were initially hired for. The period may be extended in accordance with article 6.2.3.

  • Probation At any time after October 15, a classroom teacher whose work is judged not satisfactory based on the scoring criteria shall be placed on probation and notified in writing of the specific areas of deficiencies and provided a written reasonable plan of improvement.

  • Probation & Termination 5.1 Permanent Employees will initially be employed on 3 months probation (the “Probation Period”). During the Probation Period, either the Employer or Employee may terminate the employment relationship by giving at least one day's notice of their intention to terminate. The Probation Period will not affect the 6 month qualifying period under the Act. The Employer may at any time during or on completion of the Probation Period confirm the Employee's ongoing employment with the Employer.

  • School Calendar The Dual Credit course schedule will be determined by the location of the course delivery, provided that the required contact hours and prerequisites are met. The instructional calendar for the high school portion of the School will be based on the School District calendar and comply with all related TEA regulations for school attendance. The School District will adjust its schedule as necessary to enable Students to enroll in and attend the college- level courses provided by College. The School District and College will coordinate the State Student assessment requirements to ensure said assessments are administered without penalty. The School District, School and College will ensure that the School calendar accounts for the required per-semester contact hours for courses. When the instructional delivery is on the College site, it may be necessary for Students to attend classes on days when the School District is closed (e.g., different holiday closures). When Students take classes at the College scheduled on days when School is closed, the School District will ensure that at least one staff member with administrative authority be on call and available to be reached by the College’s Office of High School Programs or other College staff in case of emergency. The designated School staff member will have access to Student emergency contact information. While the College agrees to make scheduling accommodations for required State assessments, including the STAAR and End of Course Exams, all contact hour requirements must be met. For assessments not mandated by the State, the College and School District will come to a mutual agreement on administration dates in order to appropriately manage disruptions of college courses and ensure contact hour requirements are met.

  • Completion of Probationary Period An employee who has completed the probationary period may be suspended without pay or discharged only for cause. An employee who has completed the probationary period and is suspended without pay or discharged shall have access to the grievance procedure.

  • Promotional Probation a. An employee on promotional probation may be failed at any time without right of appeal or hearing, except as provided in C.3., below, and except that failing an employee on promotional probation must not be arbitrary, capricious or unreasonable.
