Acting Temporary. Any classified Employee who has been confirmed to a position by the Civil Service Commission may be temporarily assigned to serve in an acting capacity in a position allocated to a higher pay range than that in which employed. If an Employee is temporarily assigned to such position for five (5) working days, consecutive or separate, the Employee shall, for each day thereafter so assigned, be termed an Acting Temporary Employee. The five (5) day period shall apply to each job classification. An Employee must work in an acting capacity for a minimum increment of four (4) hours to be eligible for such pay. The Acting Temporary Employee shall receive compensation five percent (5%) greater than the Employee’s regular salary, not to exceed the maximum of the range for the position assigned. Upon termination of the temporary assignment, the Employee shall return to the position and salary from which assigned. Effective upon ratification and approval, the City agrees to pay at a higher range any Employee of the same classification that is temporarily assigned as a lead Employee supervising one (1) or more Employees for four

Acting Temporary. Employees directed by the Employer to ‘temporarily perform the full duties of a position in a classification having a higher salary range shall be paid acting pay, provided the assignment is for a period in excess of ten continuous working days. In such cases, the employee shall be paid acting pay from the first day of such assignment. (It is recognised that “duties” refers to the normal duties of the position at the time of Pay Calculation Salary The acting pay received for assignments as set out in Article shall provide for the greater of: the first year rate in the position in which such employee is acting; or the equivalent to a placement in the salary range which will give the employee at least of the employee’s present normal salary, and shall be paid for the period in which acting on such assignment. In no case, however, shall such acting pay exceed the maximum of the applicable salary range.

  • Central Negotiating Team In central bargaining between the Ontario Nurses' Association and the Participating Hospitals, a nurse serving on the Union's Central Negotiating Team shall be paid for time lost from the nurse's regularly scheduled straight time working hours at her or his regular rate of pay, and without loss of leave credits, for attending central negotiating meetings with the Hospitals' Central Negotiating Committee up to, but not including, arbitration. Central Negotiating Team members shall receive unpaid time off for the purpose of preparation for negotiations. The Union will advise the Hospitals concerned, as far in advance as possible, of the dates for which leave is being requested. Upon reference to arbitration, the Central Negotiating Team members shall receive unpaid time off for the purpose of attending arbitration hearings.

  • Negotiating Team ‌ The Association shall be allowed the following maximum number of paid employees from each facility as a member of the Negotiating Team with the Agency assuming no overtime obligations as a result of employees’ attendance at such meetings:  SACU: one (1) per house and one (1) Outreach Nurse  Xxxxxxxxx Cottage: one (1) At the discretion of the Association, a reasonable number of unpaid employees may attend negotiation sessions as observers. Consultants may be employed by either party.

  • Temporary Roads As necessary to attain stabilization of roadbed and fill slopes of Temporary Roads, Purchaser shall employ such measures as out- sloping, drainage dips, and water-spreading ditches. After a Temporary Road has served Purchaser’s pur- pose, Purchaser shall give notice to Forest Service and shall remove bridges and culverts, eliminate ditches, out- slope roadbed, remove ruts and berms, effectively block the road to normal vehicular traffic where feasible under existing terrain conditions, and build cross ditches and water bars, as staked or otherwise marked on the ground by Forest Service. When bridges and culverts are re- moved, associated fills shall also be removed to the ex- tent necessary to permit normal maximum flow of water.

  • Temporary Layoff The Employer may temporarily layoff an employee for up to ninety (90) days due to an unanticipated loss of funding, revenue shortfall, lack of work, shortage of material or equipment, or other unexpected or unusual reasons. An employee will normally receive seven (7) days notice of a temporary layoff.
