SPECIAL TEACHING ASSIGNMENTS. A. Assignments for the Adult Education, Driver Education and Summer School Program will be made by the Board on the basis of preference to teachers possessing permanent teaching certificates regularly employed in the district during the normal school year.

SPECIAL TEACHING ASSIGNMENTS. 1. Teachers assigned to a school that utilizes the Montessori Teaching methodology and who teaches one or more Montessori Core Courses must successfully complete the American Montessori Society Training Program that is offered by a Board approved institution.

SPECIAL TEACHING ASSIGNMENTS. A. The Board agrees, to the best of its ability, to maintain an adequate pool of substitute teachers. Teachers shall log their absence in the district’s electronic substitute management system at least one (1) hour before scheduled reporting time or no later than 6:30 a.m., whichever is earlier to report unavailability for work. It is understood that earlier calls are desirable to ensure adequate substitute coverage. Once a teacher has reported unavailability, it shall be the responsibility of the administration to arrange for a substitute teacher.
