SPECIAL TEACHING ASSIGNMENTS. A. Assignments for the Adult Education, Driver Education and Summer School Program will be made by the Board on the basis of preference to teachers possessing permanent teaching certificates regularly employed in the district during the normal school year.
SPECIAL TEACHING ASSIGNMENTS. 1. Teachers assigned to a school that utilizes the Montessori Teaching methodology and who teaches one or more Montessori Core Courses must successfully complete the American Montessori Society Training Program that is offered by a Board approved institution.
SPECIAL TEACHING ASSIGNMENTS. A. The Board agrees at all times to maintain an adequate list of substitute teachers. Teachers shall be informed of a telephone number they will call no later than one and one-half (1 1/2) hours prior to the start of the student classes to report unavailability for work.
SPECIAL TEACHING ASSIGNMENTS. 9.1 Summer School - teacher selection, etc. Refer to Policies and Procedures currently in effect.
SPECIAL TEACHING ASSIGNMENTS. Due to the limited weekly student contact time as compared to that of a classroom Teacher, elementary (K-4) Special Teachers shall not be required to schedule parent conferences during the regularly scheduled parent-Teacher conferences, unless a problem is perceived by either the Teacher or an administrator
SPECIAL TEACHING ASSIGNMENTS. 1. No teacher shall be required to work a split shift or to teach less than three hours in a summer school program.
SPECIAL TEACHING ASSIGNMENTS. A. In order to be a cooperating teacher, one must meet the following requirements: (1) willingness to accept a student teacher, (2) principal's approval of one as a cooperating teacher, and (3) the cooperating teacher must be on tenure.
SPECIAL TEACHING ASSIGNMENTS. A. The Board agrees, to the best of its ability, to maintain an adequate pool of substitute teachers. Teachers shall log their absence in the district’s electronic substitute management system at least one (1) hour before scheduled reporting time or no later than 6:30 a.m., whichever is earlier to report unavailability for work. It is understood that earlier calls are desirable to ensure adequate substitute coverage. Once a teacher has reported unavailability, it shall be the responsibility of the administration to arrange for a substitute teacher.
