SPECIAL TEACHING ASSIGNMENTS. A. The Board agrees at all times to maintain an adequate list of substitute teachers. Teachers shall be informed of a telephone number they will call no later than one and one-half (1 1/2) hours prior to the start of the student classes to report unavailability for work.

Teachers shall be informed of a telephone number they will call at least one (1) hour before scheduled reporting time or no later than one and one-half (1 1/2) hours prior to the start of the student classes 6:30 a.m., whichever is earlier, to report unavailability for work. It is understood that earlier calls are desirable to ensure adequate substitute coverage. Once a teacher has reported unavailability, it shall be the responsibility of the administration to arrange for a substitute teacher.
