Overtime means work performed by a full-time employee in excess or outside of their regularly scheduled hours of work.
parental bereavement leave means leave under section 80EA of the Employment Rights Act 1996;
Journeyman plumber means a person licensed under this chapter as a
Paid sick leave – means paid leave under the Emergency Paid Sick Leave Act.
police official means any member of the South African Police Service or a municipal police service appointed in terms of the South African Police Service Act, 1995 (Act No. 68 of 1995);
Bereavement Leave means "a leave of absence granted to an employee upon a death occurring in the employee's Immediate Family.”
Shift means the period of scheduled straight-time working hours on a scheduled workday where the hours scheduled are consecutive except for the meal period.
income-related employment and support allowance means an income-related allowance under Part 1 of the Welfare Reform Act 2007;
Workweek means any week during which a Class Member worked for Defendant for at least one day, during the Class Period.
Sick Leave means the period of time an employee is absent from work with or without pay, by virtue of sickness, quarantine, or accident, or out-of-town medical/dental referrals for which compensation is not payable under the Worker's Compensation Act.
Pregnancy Leave means leave taken for purposes related to giving birth and/or recovering therefrom.
Wages is defined as the amount of money the employee would have otherwise received over a period of absence.
Bereavement Pay Benefits means the benefits as set out in Article II hereof.
maternity leave means a period during which a woman is absent from work because she is pregnant or has given birth to a child, and at the end of which she has a right to return to work either under the terms of her contract of employment or under Part 8 of the Employment Rights Act 1996;
labourer means an employee who is engaged in one or more of the following activities:
Current Sick Leave means those days of sick leave for the current contract year, which leave is granted at the rate of one day of sick leave per month worked, or major part thereof.
Wage means the amount of money paid or payable to an employee in respect of ordinary hours of work or, if they are shorter, the hours an employee normally works in a day or week;
Military caregiver leave means leave taken to care for a covered servicemember with a serious injury or illness.
Leave Salary means the monthly amount paid by the University to an employee who is on leave.
Journeyman means a person working in an apprenticeable occupation who has successfully completed a registered apprenticeship program or who has worked the number of years required by established industry practices for that person’s particular trade or occupation. With each payment application submitted by Construction Contractor, as a condition precedent to its entitlement to payment, Construction Contractor shall also submit, on the form attached as part of Exhibit G to the Agreement, a monthly written report to Owner concerning the number of apprentices engaged on the Project. Said monthly report shall be in such form and contain such detail as may be required by Owner.
Enslavement means the exercise of any or all of the powers attaching to the right of ownership over a person and includes the exercise of such power in the course of trafficking in persons, in particular women and children;
paternity leave means a period of absence from work on leave by virtue of section 80A or 80B of the Employment Rights Act 1996;
Journeyman electrician means a person licensed under this chapter as a
Accrued Professional Compensation means, at any given moment, all accrued, contingent and/or unpaid fees and expenses (including, without limitation, success fees) for legal, financial advisory, accounting and other services and reimbursement of expenses that are awardable and allowable under section 328, 330(a) or 331 of the Bankruptcy Code and were rendered before the Effective Date by any Retained Professional in the Chapter 11 Cases, or that are awardable and allowable under section 503 of the Bankruptcy Code, that have not been denied by a Final Order, all to the extent that any such fees and expenses have not been previously paid (regardless of whether a fee application has been filed for any such amount). To the extent that the Bankruptcy Court or any higher court denies or reduces by a Final Order any amount of a Retained Professional’s fees or expenses, then those reduced or denied amounts shall no longer constitute Accrued Professional Compensation.
Accrued Compensation means an amount which shall include all amounts earned or accrued through the "Termination Date" (as hereinafter defined) but not paid as of the Termination Date, including (i) base salary, (ii) reimbursement for reasonable and necessary expenses incurred by the Executive on behalf of the Company during the period ending on the Termination Date, (iii) vacation pay and (iv) bonuses and incentive compensation (other than the "Pro Rata Bonus" (as hereinafter defined)).
Holidays shall be deemed to mean and include New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
