Shift definition

Shift means a daily tour of duty exclusive of overtime hours.
Shift means the period of scheduled straight-time working hours on a scheduled workday where the hours scheduled are consecutive except for the meal period.
Shift means designated hours of work by an employee, with a designated beginning time and quitting time.

Shift means a daily tour of duty exclusive of overtime hours. The first shift of the day shall be that shift in which the majority of hours fall between midnight and 0800 hours.
