Continuing Education course or class definition

Continuing Education course or class means a continuing education course or class as defined in the Education Act and Regulations and for which a valid certificate of qualification or a letter of standing as a teacher is required by the Act and Regulations.
Continuing Education course or class means a course or class as described in Section 1 and 2 of Ontario Regulation 285.

Other than as set out in this Article, the terms and conditions of this Collective Agreement shall not be applicable to Continuing Education Teachers or Consultants. Notwithstanding Article the grievance and arbitration procedures set out in this Collective Agreement shall Continuing with respect to the terms and conditionsof employment set out in Article The Board and the Teachers agree that the employment of a Continuing Education Teacher is conclusively deemed to be terminated upon the completion of the course which the Teacher was employed to teach or the date of cancellation of the course which the Teacher was employed to teach. Notwithstanding Article if a course which a Continuing Education Teacher was employed to teach is cancelled on or after the first scheduled session of such course, the Board shall pay to such Teacher the sum of two hundred ($200) in addition to any hourly rate earned by the Teacher for the course prior to its cancellation.   • Continuing education means planned, organized learning acts designed to maintain, improve, or expand a licensee’s knowledge and skills in order for the licensee to develop new knowledge and skills relevant to the enhancement of practice, education, or theory development to improve the safety and welfare of the public.

  • Continuing education credit or “CE credit” means one continuing education credit as defined in [insert reference in State law or regulations governing producer continuing education course approval].

  • Continuing education hour or “CE Hour” means based on sixty clock minutes, and includes at least fifty minutes of participation in a group or self-study learning activity that meets the criteria of the NERC Continuing Education Program.

  • Adult basic education means education or instruction

  • Hour of continuing education means at least 50 minutes spent by a licensee in actual attendance at and completion of an approved continuing education activity.

  • Special education means specially designed instruction, at no cost to the parents, to meet the unique needs of a child with a disability, including--

  • Nurse Educator means a registered nurse with a post registration certificate, who has relevant experience or other qualifications, deemed appropriate by the employer who is appointed to a position of Nurse Educator.

  • Cooperative education program means a written voluntary agreement between and among districts to provide certain educational programs for pupils in certain groups of districts. The written agreement shall be approved by all affected districts at least annually and shall specify the educational programs to be provided and the estimated number of pupils from each district who will participate in the educational programs.

  • Direct medical education costs means costs directly associated with the medical education of interns and residents or other medical education programs, such as a nursing education program or allied health programs, conducted in an outpatient setting, that qualify for payment as medical education costs under the Medicare program. The amount of direct medical education costs is determined from the hospital base-year cost reports and is inflated in determining the direct medical education rate.

  • Graduate medical education and disproportionate share fund or “GME/DSH fund” means a reimbursement fund developed as an adjunct reimbursement methodology to directly reimburse qualifying hospitals for the direct and indirect costs associated with the operation of graduate medical education programs and the costs associated with the treatment of a disproportionate share of poor, indigent, nonreimbursed or nominally reimbursed patients for inpatient services.

  • Local education provider means a school district, a

  • income-related employment and support allowance means an income-related allowance under Part 1 of the Welfare Reform Act 2007;

  • the London Bombings Relief Charitable Fund means the company limited by guarantee (number 5505072), and registered charity of that name established on 11th July 2005 for the purpose of (amongst other things) relieving sickness, disability or financial need of victims (including families or dependants of victims) of the terrorist attacks carried out in London on 7th July 2005;

  • Participating Certified Nurse-Midwife means a Certified Nurse-Midwife who has a written agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan to provide services to you at the time services are rendered.

  • Distance education means education imparted by combination of any two or more means of communication, viz. broadcasting, telecasting, correspondence courses, seminars, contact programmes and any other such methodology;
