WORK YEAR/SCHOOL CALENDAR. With DESE approval, NPS has adopted a school year with 170 days to allow for an additional ten (10) days of preparation, planning and professional development for staff. The first official day of school for students is September 16, 2020, and the last day of school for students is June 23, 2021 (inclusive of 5 snow days) and June 24, 2021 for staff.

WORK YEAR/SCHOOL CALENDAR. 5.1 Administrators have an obligation to perform the direct and implied duties of their position and each of them will expend such time and effort as is necessary to effectuate and achieve the goals and purposes of his/her position even if the time, which is required, is in excess of the normal school day for students or teachers.
WORK YEAR/SCHOOL CALENDAR. The work year for Bargaining Unit Members shall be 189 days per year. One and one- half (1.5) days shall be guaranteed as classroom preparation days to be scheduled within the first teacher week of each school year. A period of time at the end of each marking period, to be mutually agreed upon by the District and CATA shall be set aside for Bargaining Unit work (lessons and room preparation, student assessment, student record keeping). The work year shall include dates when pupils are in attendance, in-service days, Act 80 days, orientation days and any such days which must be rescheduled. The intent of this provision is to define these days on which Bargaining Unit Member attendance is required. New Bargaining Unit Members may be required to attend up to two (2) additional days during the work year for orientation. Bargaining Unit Members who are so required to attend orientation days shall be paid for such days at their regular salary. Employees who voluntarily attend orientation days will not be paid by the school district. Any changes to the school calendar will be discussed with CATA during liaison, complying with the Meet-and- Discuss Provision of Act 195.

  • School Calendar The Dual Credit course schedule will be determined by the location of the course delivery, provided that the required contact hours and prerequisites are met. The instructional calendar for the high school portion of the School will be based on the School District calendar and comply with all related TEA regulations for school attendance. The School District will adjust its schedule as necessary to enable Students to enroll in and attend the college- level courses provided by College. The School District and College will coordinate the State Student assessment requirements to ensure said assessments are administered without penalty. The School District, School and College will ensure that the School calendar accounts for the required per-semester contact hours for courses. When the instructional delivery is on the College site, it may be necessary for Students to attend classes on days when the School District is closed (e.g., different holiday closures). When Students take classes at the College scheduled on days when School is closed, the School District will ensure that at least one staff member with administrative authority be on call and available to be reached by the College’s Office of High School Programs or other College staff in case of emergency. The designated School staff member will have access to Student emergency contact information. While the College agrees to make scheduling accommodations for required State assessments, including the STAAR and End of Course Exams, all contact hour requirements must be met. For assessments not mandated by the State, the College and School District will come to a mutual agreement on administration dates in order to appropriately manage disruptions of college courses and ensure contact hour requirements are met.

  • ALTERNATE SCHOOL CALENDAR 1. In this article, an alternative school calendar is a school calendar that differs from the standard school calendar as specified in Schedule 1 (Supplement) of the School Calendar Regulation 114/02.

  • Basic Work Year The regular work year shall be prescribed by the School District each year for regular employees.

  • Work Period; Overtime Pay The work period for overtime computation purposes shall be a seven (7) day period, as defined by the Employer. Nurses working this twelve (12) hour shift schedule shall be paid overtime compensation at the rate of one and one-half (1 1/2) times the regular rate of pay for the first two (2) hours after the end of the twelve (12) hour shift or for any hours worked beyond forty (40) hours in a seven (7) day period. If a nurse works more than two (2) consecutive hours beyond the end of the twelve (12) hour shift, all overtime hours after fourteen (14) consecutive hours of work for that shift shall be paid at double time (2x).
