Classroom Preparation Days. The District will provide at least two (2) classroom preparation days prior to the start of the school year for teacher preparation. Of those two days, up to one-half day may be set aside for district and/or building level meeting time to prepare for the start of school.

Classroom Preparation Days. 6.01 Unless already provided for in the CBA, bargaining unit members may be provided classroom preparation days prior to the start of the return of students. These days shall be non-student days with no school site meetings or trainings for the purpose of unit members preparing their classroom spaces for the in-person and/or distance learning. Unit members shall be paid their hourly rate for these Classroom Preparation Days. Prior approval by site administration is required to access additional time or days for this purpose.   • Preparation Period During the preparation period, a teacher will have no other assignment except in an emergency situation. It is recognized that the preparation period is a scheduled part of the teacher's work day and the teacher is expected to be in his/her respective Building.
