Willingness to Communicate Sample Clauses

Willingness to Communicate. (WTC) in Second Language (L2) WTC's Influence on Second Language Learning Much has been written about the impact of WTC on second language learning (SLL). A cursory review of the research reveals that WTC is a cause of L2 usage, and more significantly, a factor impacting the frequency of L2 use in classrooms which leads to improved L2 fluency, increasing Language skills and establishing L2 communicative competence (Kang, 2005). Layer II, Willingness T Communicate ( WTC ), which is described as a ―readiness to participate into a discourse at a specific time with a specific person or persons, employing an L2,‖ is directly responsible for this communication (p. 547). Layer III represents contextual antecedents that have an immediate impact on the WTC which included Motivation to Communicate with a Particular Person as well as Communicative Self-Confidence.
