Research Setting Clause Samples

The Research Setting clause defines the specific location(s) or environment(s) where research activities under the agreement will take place. It typically outlines whether the research will occur on the premises of one of the parties, at a third-party facility, or in a virtual or field-based context, and may specify any requirements or limitations related to the use of these settings. By clearly identifying the research setting, this clause helps ensure that all parties understand where the work will be conducted, which is essential for compliance, resource planning, and managing logistical or legal considerations.
Research Setting. This assessment was conducted from June 9 – July 10 in 28 villages in the Bukwo District in the Eastern Region of Uganda. All villages participated in CRS CLTS programming between November 2012 and March 2013. The three predetermined categories for target households dictated the selection of villages. The following section will provide a more in-depth discussion of these categories and how they influenced village selection. To maintain a varied sample, the villages comprised 11 different parishes and the three sub-counties in the Bukwo District. Of the 28 triggered villages, 18 were declared as ODF and 10 had never been declared ODF. At the time the study was conducted, the IWRM project had organized three verification cycles for triggered villages. The first cycle was in April 2013, the second in December 2013, the third in March 2014. A final cycle was planned for August 2014, after this survey was conducted. To maintain variation in the sample, villages were selected from all three verification cycles, with five declared ODF since April 2013, four since December 2013 and nine since March 2014.
Research Setting. IEGS is an international high school located on Södermalm downtown Stockholm area. The student’s in IEGS (around 700 in total) are aged between 15 and 19 years and they are divided (age-wise) in three consecutive classes. Of special interest for SPLENDID, is the active Natural Science program in IEGS, which is going to be the main pool of participants for the V1 and V2 evaluation studies. The program usually has 60-70 students per year (i.e., two classes). IEGS has an in-school dining area which serves free-of-cost, buffet breakfast (optional) and lunch to all the students in the school. The buffet area (Figure 18, A) will be used to serve the food in the V1 and V2 evaluation studies. An adjacent, semi-independent room is going to be reserved for SPLENDID use, and it will be fitted with all the required equipment for recording the meals. The same room will be used at different times of the day for briefing and debriefing meetings with the participating students. For the V1 evaluation study, IEGS will also reserve one of the available Natural Science classrooms (Figure 18, B) and/or the school Drama room (Figure 18, C), which will be fitted with the required equipment for recording snacking. Research Setting. Empirical part of this research was conducted in Multan, a city of Pakistan, which involves a survey from wholesalers and retailer in the city. The underlying objective was to empirically test the performance of wholesalers based upon the logistic service quality and the relationship norms perceived by the retailers. Our respondents were the retailers. The studies’ theoretical foundations stem from the concept of logistic service and relational contracting theory which is a fundamental marketing concept and the paradigm determining the relational norms and discussed in the next chapter.
