Voluntary Emergency Services Leave. 46.1 An employee who is a member of a voluntary emergency relief organisation including but not limited to CFS, Red Cross, State Emergency Service and St Xxxx, will be released from the employee’s normal duties if called upon by the government or a competent authority under the State Disaster Plan to assist in fire fighting or other forms of emergency assistance.

Voluntary Emergency Services Leave. The Director-General may grant an employee community service leave, with or without pay, to enable the employee to participate in emergency services duties. This includes leave for regular training, emergency services responses, reasonable recovery time and ceremonial duties.
