Emergency assistance means any one or more of the following services provided in response to a IV-A emergency assistance application:

  • Emergency assistance services may not be available in all countries due to conditions such as war, political unrest or other circumstances which interfere with or prevent the provision of any services.

  • Important notes:We will only pay for Evacuation costs that have been authorised and arranged by Our Emergency assistance service.We will not pay for Your Evacuation costs if the Evacuation is directly or indirectly related to a Medical Condition which has been specifically excluded on Your Certificate of Insurance, or to any other Medical Condition or event specifically excluded in Your Group Plan.

Emergency assistance means aid provided in the event of a situation that creates an imminent risk of serious harm to the health or safety of the person if he or she is not helped immedi- ately.
