VEHICLES AND SAFETY EQUIPMENT. 1. The City will make a good-faith effort to maintain police vehicles and safety equipment in proper working order. Police vehicles operated by the City shall comply with the standards and requirements of applicable Florida State Statutes governing motor vehicle safety equipment. Employees will, as soon as possible, report any broken and/or malfunctioning equipment to their supervisor. Employees shall keep the vehicles cleaned and fueled. Bargaining unit members shall be assigned take-home vehicles. It is the responsibility of officers with assigned Take-Home Vehicles to promptly deliver their vehicle to the Motor Pool when repairs are necessary for scheduled preventative maintenance.

VEHICLES AND SAFETY EQUIPMENT. In an effort to increase officer visibility in the community; reduce costs to the City in maintenance, repairs, accidents and liability, along with the State of Florida's consideration of legislation to give state-wide arrest powers to all sworn Police Officers, this twenty-four (24) hour assigned take home vehicle plan will be implemented using the following terms:

Police vehicles operated by the City shall comply with the standards and requirements of applicable Florida State Statutes governing motor vehicle safety equipment. Employees will, as soon as possible, report any broken and/or malfunctioning equipment to their Supervisor, but no later than the end of their shift. Employees shall keep the vehicles cleaned and fully fueled at the start of their shift. It is the responsibility of Officers with assigned take-home vehicles to promptly deliver their vehicle to the Motor Pool or dealership as appropriate, when repairs are necessary or for scheduled preventative maintenance.

VEHICLES AND SAFETY EQUIPMENT. The City will make a good faith effort to maintain police vehicles and safety equipment in proper working order. Police vehicles operated by the City shall comply with the standards and requirements of applicable state statutes governing motor vehicle safety equipment. DUES CHECK-OFF Any member of the Employee Organization, who has submitted a properly executed dues authorization card or statement to the Mayor or his designee in accordance with a format prescribed or approved by the City may, by request in writing have his membership dues in the Employee Organization deducted from his wages. Dues shall be deducted each bi-weekly pay period, and shall, thereafter, be transmitted to the Employee Organization. However, the City shall have no responsibility or any liability for any monies once sent to the Employee Organization, nor shall the City have any responsibility or any liability for the improper deduction of dues. Further, the Employee Organization shall hold the City harmless for non-intentional errors in the administration of the dues deduction system. It shall be the responsibility of the Employee Organization to notify the Mayor or his designee of any change in the amount of dues to be deducted at least sixty (60) days in advance of said change. Under no circumstances shall the City be required to deduct Employee Organization fines, penalties, or assessments from the wages of any member. Any member of the Employee Organization may, on thirty (30) days' written notice to the City, withdraw from membership in the Employee Organization and the City shall cease deducting dues from his wages. The parties agree that a reasonable cost of administering this check-off provision is a $.25 per deduction per member and that the City shall withhold this amount from the dues deductions made.

  • Vehicles and Equipment Consultant will furnish all vehicles, equipment, tools, and materials used to provide the Services required by this Agreement. Client will not require Consultant to rent or purchase any equipment, product, or service as a condition of entering into this Agreement.

  • UNIFORMS AND SAFETY EQUIPMENT 214. For employees required by the Appointing Officer to wear a uniform, beginning in fiscal year 2006-2007 and continuing for the duration of this Agreement, the City agrees to provide a uniform allowance each year in the amount of eight hundred fifty dollars ($850). The City will pay the uniform allowance in the payroll that includes September 1 of each year. Represented employees must be on duty status or approved leave on each September 1 to be eligible for the uniform allowance. Any eligible employee hired on or after March 1 will receive fifty percent (50%) of the uniform allowance that year.

  • Safety Equipment Should the employment duties of an employee in the bargaining unit require use of any equipment or gear to insure the safety of the employee or others, the District agrees to furnish such equipment or gear.

  • Cleanliness and Safety; Entry Resident agrees to maintain the assigned bedroom space, the apartment and the common areas of the Property in a clean, safe and sanitary condition, to exercise all due care in the use of same, and to cooperate fully with the Property pest control program as requested. Resident will be responsible for the cost of treatment for bedbugs and similar pests to the extent Owner’s pest control vendor reasonably determines that an infestation has originated within Resident’s assigned space and during Resident’s occupancy. Resident will place all trash in provided receptacles and will be responsible for the cost of cleaning the interior or exterior of the apartment if not kept in sanitary condition. When outdoor temperatures are below 40 degrees Fahrenheit, Resident will keep the apartment’s heat turned on to prevent frozen or burst pipes, including during vacations. When outdoor temperatures exceed 85 degrees Fahrenheit, Resident will keep the apartment’s air conditioning turned on and set to a reasonable temperature to prevent mold or mildew growth, including during vacations. Owner and its agents, employees and contractors may enter any apartment and bedroom space to perform routine maintenance, inspections, showings and other ordinary functions, provided that Owner will provide advance notice to residents of an apartment before such entry. Owner reserves the right to enter an apartment and any bedroom space without prior notice (including a passkey and/or disarming the alarm or other means of entry if locks have been changed) for emergency maintenance or repair purposes, or when there is reasonable cause to believe that a situation exists that could cause danger to life, safety, health or property. Owner may confiscate any item deemed to cause a danger and is under no obligation to pay compensation for or to return such items.

  • HEALTH AND SAFETY AT WORK The Supplier shall undertake its obligations arising hereunder and in all Contracts in accordance with the OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System or equivalent. Both parties shall take all necessary measures to ensure the health and safety of the other party’s employees and agents visiting their premises. The Supplier shall notify the Authority of any use of substances listed under COSHH regulations or the Montreal Protocol in the provision of the Services.

  • Safe Equipment The City shall furnish and maintain in the best possible working condition, within the limits of its financial capability, the necessary tools, facilities, vehicles, supplies, and equipment required for members to safely carry out their duties. Members are responsible for reporting unsafe conditions or practices, for avoiding negligence, and for properly using and caring for tools, facilities, vehicles, supplies, and equipment provided by the City.

  • Services, Materials, and Equipment Unless otherwise specified, the Contractor shall provide and assume full responsibility for all services, materials, equipment, labor, transportation, construction equipment and machinery, tools, appliances, fuel, power, light, heat, telephone, water, sanitary facilities, temporary facilities, and all other facilities, incidentals, and services necessary for the construction, performance, testing, start-up, inspection and completion of the Work.

  • CONTRACT WORK HOURS AND SAFETY STANDARDS As per the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act (40 U.S.C. 3701-3708), where applicable, all Customer Purchase Orders in excess of ,000 that involve the employment of mechanics or laborers must include a provision for compliance with 40 U.S.C. 3702 and 3704, as supplemented by Department of Labor regulations (29 CFR Part 5). Under 40 U.S.C. 3702 of the Act, each contractor must be required to compute the wages of every mechanic and laborer on the basis of a standard work week of 40 hours. Work in excess of the standard work week is permissible provided that the worker is compensated at a rate of not less than one and a half times the basic rate of pay for all hours worked in excess of 40 hours in the work week. The requirements of 40 U.S.C. 3704 are applicable to construction work and provide that no laborer or mechanic must be required to work in surroundings or under working conditions which are unsanitary, hazardous or dangerous. These requirements do not apply to the purchases of supplies or materials or articles ordinarily available on the open market, or contracts for transportation or transmission of intelligence.

  • Materials and Equipment ‌ Material means property that may be consumed or expended during performance, component parts of a higher assembly, or items that lose their individual identity through incorporation into an end item. Equipment means a tangible item that is functionally complete for its intended purpose, durable, nonexpendable, and needed for performance. Materials and Equipment shall be priced in accordance with the terms of the task order award, contract type, and applicable FAR and agency-specific regulatory supplements. Unless otherwise directed by task order terms and conditions, the Contractor may apply indirect costs to materials and equipment consistent with the Contractor’s usual accounting practices.

  • Personal Property Damage Upon submission of reasonable proof the Employer shall repair or indemnify with respect to damage to the chattels of an employee while on duty caused by the actions of a patient, resident or client provided such personal property is an article of use or wear of a type suitable for use while on duty.
