TRANSPORTATION, TRAVEL TIME, ROOM AND BOARD. 14.01 When the employees who are covered by this Agreement are required to travel to jobs in which the Employer is involved and which lie beyond the limits of the Regional Municipality of Niagara, the following conditions shall apply:

TRANSPORTATION, TRAVEL TIME, ROOM AND BOARD. 16.01 All employees who are required to use their own vehicles for transportation purposes shall be paid at a rate of thirty-five cents ($0.35) per kilometer for all distances driven beyond a thirty-two (32) kilometer radius from the Employer's yard for all distances driven between job sites. Employees shall be obligated to travel together as much as possible. No employee shall be obligated to carry more than three (3) passengers in his vehicle.

If an employee's car is used for transportation to and from jobs, the owner shall be paid forty-six cents ($0.46/km) per kilometre when authorized by the Employer.

Employees shall be required to travel together as much as possible. Mileage will not be paid out to any employee who chooses not to use an available carpool option.

TRANSPORTATION, TRAVEL TIME, ROOM AND BOARD. 8.01 On jobs within the corporate boundaries and up to forty-five (45) kilometers from the corporate boundaries of Calgary or signatory Employer’s established place of business, (hereinafter referred to as the Free Zone) no transportation shall be supplied to the initial work site of the day. If an Employee is transferred from his/her initial work site of the day, the Employer shall provide transportation from the initial work site and return, at no cost to the Employee. No Employee(s) shall be required to use their own vehicle(s) to transport tools or any other equipment from job to job.
TRANSPORTATION, TRAVEL TIME, ROOM AND BOARD. 13.01 Preamble It is recognized by the Employer and the Union that the purpose of transportation, travel and accommodation allowances as established in this Article, is to provide a reasonable means of compensating employees for additional travel and accommodation expenses they may incur while working on jobsites beyond a reasonable distance from their residence.
TRANSPORTATION, TRAVEL TIME, ROOM AND BOARD. 13.01 When the Employer obtains work in an area remote from employee’s residence, the Employer shall provide reasonable adequate accommodation for employees. Where the accommodation provided is equipped with kitchen facilities the employee shall also receive a thirty dollar ($30.00) daily subsistence allowance. Where the accommodation provided is not equipped with kitchen facilities the employee shall also receive a forty dollar ($40.00) daily subsistence allowance. If particular circumstances require alternative arrangements, the Employer and the Union shall negotiate such arrangements. If the parties are unable to agree, the matter shall be settled by binding arbitration. For all projects transportation, travel time, and room and board will be noted on a Schedule “D” pre-job report.
