Free Zone. The area designated as the Free Zone shall be the Vancouver licensed area.
Free Zone. A 40 kilometre radius around the City Hall of Winnipeg shall comprise a free zone.
Free Zone. A forty-five (45) kilometer radius free zone around the City Halls of Edmonton, Calgary and any place in which Employees are temporarily domiciled by the Employer shall be established. No transportation or travel allowance shall be applicable within the free zone. The time in transit on buses between the site and the camp shall be determined by representatives of the Building Trades of Alberta and of the Coordinating Committee of Registered Employers’ Organizations, based on an average during a reference week of five (5) test runs each way, conducted coincidently with the times when workers are in transit. This determination should be carried out twice per year, with any adjustment resulting for a determination applicable until the next determination. Workers shall be paid an allowance for time regularly and routinely in excess of forty five minutes each way, for travel within the applicable free zone. The allowance shall be calculated on the regular straight time base rate of each worker. The allowance will be paid to workers who ride on the provided buses, and only for the days on which they ride the buses. Notwithstanding the foregoing, on major construction projects located within the free zone, around the Cities of Edmonton and Calgary, but beyond the city bus transportation system of those cities, where it is expected that the total construction workforce will exceed 500, the affected parties shall meet to discuss the viability of implementing a system of providing transportation to the site.
Free Zone. The free zone shall be the licensed area encompassed within a radius of 13.75 kilometers from the intersection of 177th Street and 83rd Avenue.
Free Zone. ▇▇ ▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ around the City Halls of Regina and Saskatoon shall comprise a free zone.
Free Zone. The first fifty (50) road kilometers around the City Limits of the Dispatch Points shall be considered a Free Zone. This Zone shall be exempt from travel expenses or travel time. R1 Travel Expense When the Employer supplies a vehicle, each Employee shall be paid an allowance equal to his/her straight time rate for actual travel time from the dispatch point or temporary domicile to the project. No return travel time or terminal travel or rotational travel shall be paid.
Free Zone. There shall be a Free Zone of sixty (60) road kilometers from the designated reporting point or work location, as per Article 19, whichever is the case, to the city or town boundary of the employee’s permanent residence. Employees living within the Free Zone shall travel to and from the designated reporting point or work location, whichever is the case, at their own expense.
Free Zone. There shall hereby be established a forty (40) mile Free Zone radius starting at ▇▇▇▇ ▇ ▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇, ▇▇▇▇▇▇, ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇ whereby no compensation shall be paid. Effective February 1, 2022, the Free Zone radius shall be reduced to thirty- five (35) miles. However, each additional ten (10) mile radius constitutes a new zone, and each Employee shall receive not less than one-half (½) hour of Employee’s regular wage rate per zone per day. For those workers who reside in and work on projects located outside the Free Zone, the Free Zone radius shall start at the location of the jobsite. Travel time, as provided for by this Section, shall be paid according to the formula referenced in Section 9.05.
Free Zone. There shall be a thirty kilometre (30 km) free zone around any project in the lower mainland for an out-of-town employee. The free zone shall be established as follows for local lower mainland residents only: The Metro Vancouver area is the area extending to the exterior boundaries of West Vancouver (northern edge of Sunset Beach Park), North Vancouver, University area, Richmond, Delta, Surrey, Aldergrove to 264th Street, White Rock, Port Coquitlam, and continuing in a direct line from the northern boundary of Coquitlam eastward to 240th Street (Albion).
Free Zone. Up to a radius of thirty-two (32) kilometers outside the Winnipeg Perimeter Highway. Included in the free zone are the following locations: Selkirk; Stony Mountain; Stonewall; St. ▇▇▇▇; and Steinbach. When a project is located outside the thirty-two (32) kilometre free zone, all travel time expense will be paid from the Winnipeg Perimeter Highway and/or the boundaries of any city or town.
