Teaching Support. IV.8.1 There shall be an Annual Teaching Support Fund with a total allocation of $6.50 per student-course based on the University's total estimated undergraduate enrolment in the current academic year. The Teaching Support Fund shall be used to provide Departments and TUFA members with marking assistance and teaching support. Support from the Fund is not available for courses taught on overload, except in exceptional circumstances, but shall be available for courses taught on-load in the Spring and Summer sessions. There shall be two (2) competitions, one in August and one in December. Distribution between the two competitions will be according to the previous year’s enrolment, plus any surplus from the first competition. Applications will be made by individual members to the Department Chair, who will submit a consolidated request to the Xxxx on behalf of the Department. The Chair shall be responsible for distributing amongst members of the Department the amounts allocated by the Xxxx. Appeals of the Xxxx’x or a Department Chair's allocation decisions, including denials, shall be heard by the Xxxxxxx.

Teaching Support. The Parties recognize that Members may incur expenses related to the duties identified in their letter of appointment. Members may claim reimbursement for such expenses one time per academic term, at a time of their choosing, by submission of bona fide receipts to the Unit Head. The University shall reimburse Members for such expenses to the following annual maxima per 0.5-credit course or equivalent:
Teaching Support. A Member instructing a course remotely shall receive a level of teaching support that is appropriate for the work entailed in managing remote delivery of a course of that size and complexity. Members may apply in writing to their Unit Head for additional teaching support required to manage the course, documenting the reasons for which they require support. These needs may be met in a variety of ways, including, for example, IT, CTL and/or Teaching Assistant hours.
Teaching Support. (a) Members holding the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor, and who are teaching a minimum of two (2) courses in an academic year, shall be entitled to teaching support. Teaching support will be provided to Departments as part of the annual budgeting cycle to be distributed to Members by their Chair, following the approval of the VPAD. The support must be used exclusively for hiring a teaching assistant. A Member may not receive teaching support if they request overload teaching in an academic year. A Member may not carry over teaching support to another academic year.

  • Engineering Support When requested by CLEC, CBT shall provide timely engineering support. CLEC shall pay CBT for the use of its engineering services at charges previously agreed to by CLEC.

  • TEACHING HOURS AND TEACHING LOAD A. As professionals, teachers are expected to devote to their assignments the time necessary to meet their responsibilities, but they shall not be required to “clock in or clock out” by hours and minutes. Teachers shall indicate their presence for duty by placing their signature and time in the proper column of the faculty “sign-in” roster.

  • Teaching Load Full teaching assignments shall normally include 12 course credit hours of scheduled teaching per academic quarter. A reassignment of duty, for the equivalent of 3 or 4 credit course, shall be provided during one term of the first academic year to all newly hired tenure track faculty to further their teaching, scholarship and service and to encourage faculty retention. Wherever possible the University will endeavor to arrange teaching schedules that avoid excessive numbers of preparations and recognize evening and/or off-campus assignments. Class sizes will be established and monitored by the appropriate academic xxxx in consultation with division chairs and affected faculty each term.   • TEACHING HOURS A. The teacher’s normal teaching hours in the secondary and elementary schools shall be as follows:

  • Teaching Experience Teaching experience will be credited on a year-for-year basis for each full-time teaching year or equivalent. Acceptable teaching experience includes pre-college, college, and university teaching.

  • Technical Support State Street will provide technical support to assist the Fund in using the System and the Data Access Services. The total amount of technical support provided by State Street shall not exceed 10 resource days per year. State Street shall provide such additional technical support as is expressly set forth in the fee schedule in effect from time to time between the parties (the “Fee Schedule”). Technical support, including during installation and testing, is subject to the fees and other terms set forth in the Fee Schedule.

  • TEACHING CONDITIONS The parties recognize that the availability of optimum school facilities for both student and teacher is desirable to insure the high quality of education that is the goal of both the teacher and the Board. It is also acknowledged that the primary duty and responsibility of the teacher is to teach and that the organization of the school and the school day should be directed at insuring that the energy of the teacher is primarily utilized to this end.

  • Technical Support Services 2.1 The technical support services (the "Services"): Party A agrees to provide to Party B the relevant services requested by Party B, which are specified in Exhibit 1 attached hereto ("Exhibit 1").
