SUSTAINABLE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT. Slovenia must follow a path of sustainable development. Sustainability should not only be understood in terms of the environment, but also in terms of demographics, technological development, social stability, health, competitiveness, consumption and finance. The structural and economic reforms required to overcome this multifaceted crisis must strike a balance between their economic, social and environmental components. Slovenia's development imperative is therefore to achieve sustainable development which is understood as an intergenerationally responsible and fair development model for economic, social and environmental balance. Joint solutions should be found in an ecologically-oriented economy and through the introduction of green technologies. Environmental technologies and green entrepreneurship, the environmentally responsible use of domestic resources, sustainable agriculture, tourism, transport (cycling, rail and other forms of public transport), construction (the energy-efficient renovation of buildings, passive design and domestic construction materials) and other environmentally oriented activities should be at the heart of the Slovenian innovation, and sustainable development and environmental, breakthrough. Regional natural resources, the maintained social capital and an educated population are the key pillars for sustainable development in Slovenia as a whole and all its regions. A more balanced regional development, decentralisation and the enormous potential for a high level of self-sufficiency, including many new jobs and key strategic commodities (food, water, wood and renewable energy sources) are the key pillars for sustainable economic development and the related national security. A higher level of self-sufficiency and a reduction in the import of raw materials, food and energy would significantly contribute to reducing Slovenia's ecological and carbon footprint and, as a result, increase the share of Slovenia's environmental and social responsibility and the likelihood of achieving the development breakthrough required. In order to attain the goals of sustainable development and to improve the competitiveness of the Slovenian economy, the business environment needs to be such so that its knowledge of innovative products and services is exploited to the full.   • Economic Development 1. The Parties aim to promote balanced economic growth, poverty reduction and the reduction of social-economic disparities.

  • Sustainable Development 4.1 The Authority will review the Contractor’s Sustainable Development Policy Statement and Sustainable Development Plan submitted by the Contractor in accordance with the Schedule (Sustainable Development Requirements) and then at least annually thereafter.

  • Skills Development The Company acknowledges the changing pace of technology in the electrical contracting industry and the need for employees to understand those changes and have the necessary skill requirements to keep the Company at the forefront of the industry. The Parties to this Agreement recognise that in order to increase the efficiency, productivity and competitiveness of the Company, a commitment to training and skill development is required.   • Curriculum Development This includes the analysis and coordination of textual materials; constant review of current literature in the field, some of which are selected for the college library collection, the preparation of selective, descriptive materials such as outlines and syllabi; conferring with other faculty and administration on curricular problems; and, the attendance and participation in inter and intra-college conferences and advisory committees.

  • Staff Development ‌ The County and the Association agree that the County retains full authority to determine training needs, resources that can be made available, and the method of payment for training authorized by the County. Nothing in this subsection shall preclude the right of an employee to request specific training.

  • Learning and Development (i) Managers and supervisors are responsible for promoting and supporting learning activities for employees in their area of responsibility.

  • Cooperation with Economic Studies If ICANN initiates or commissions an economic study on the impact or functioning of new generic top-­‐level domains on the Internet, the DNS or related matters, Registry Operator shall reasonably cooperate with such study, including by delivering to ICANN or its designee conducting such study all data related to the operation of the TLD reasonably necessary for the purposes of such study requested by ICANN or its designee, provided, that Registry Operator may withhold (a) any internal analyses or evaluations prepared by Registry Operator with respect to such data and (b) any data to the extent that the delivery of such data would be in violation of applicable law. Any data delivered to ICANN or its designee pursuant to this Section 2.15 that is appropriately marked as confidential (as required by Section 7.15) shall be treated as Confidential Information of Registry Operator in accordance with Section 7.15, provided that, if ICANN aggregates and makes anonymous such data, ICANN or its designee may disclose such data to any third party. Following completion of an economic study for which Registry Operator has provided data, ICANN will destroy all data provided by Registry Operator that has not been aggregated and made anonymous.

  • Green Economy/Carbon Footprint a) The Supplier/Service Provider has in its bid provided Transnet with an understanding of the Supplier’s/Service Provider’s position with regard to issues such as waste disposal, recycling and energy conservation.
