Seniority for Bus Drivers a. For all bus drivers and substitute bus drivers, seniority shall be defined as the length of continued service as a full status employee with the district. Accumulation of seniority shall begin from the Bargaining Unit employee(s) first day as a five (5) hour driver. Drivers that leave the District for any reason other than a reduction in force, shall not maintain their place on the seniority list. If a driver is RIF’ed and called back to work, they shall maintain the seniority they earned prior to the reduction in force.

  • Seniority Frozen When an Agency intends to initiate a layoff, the Agency will notify the Union in writing that all seniority will be frozen from the date of notice for a period not to exceed three (3) months.   • Bargaining Unit Seniority The length of continuous service in a position or succession of positions within Bargaining Unit Two (2), beginning with the last date of hire or transfer into the Bargaining Unit, as defined by seniority credits.
