Section 7.7. Overtime. 40 In the assignment of overtime, the District agrees to provide the employee with as much advance notice as 41 practicable in the circumstances. Normally, employees designated to work overtime on days outside their 42 regular workweek will be advised of the possibility no later than twenty-four (24) hours prior to the end of 43 the last shift before the overtime commences. All overtime must be preauthorized by the appropriate 44 administrative supervisor.

Section 7.7. Overtime. 2 The District and the Union agree there shall be no overtime hours worked except by written direction 3 of the superintendent. In the event the superintendent directs the assignment of overtime, the District 4 agrees to provide the employee with as much advance notice as practicable in the circumstances. 5 Normally, employees designated to work overtime on days outside their regular workweek will be 6 advised of the possibility no later than twenty-four (24) hours prior to the end of the last shift before 7 the overtime commences. No employee shall work overtime, or come in on a weekend or holiday 8 without prior written authorization, unless in an emergency situation, or personal verbal request from 9 the Superintendent.
Section 7.7. Overtime. 43 Overtime at the rate of one and one-half (1-1/2) times the regular rate shall be paid regular employees 44 for any time worked beyond the regular forty (40) hour workweek or regular eight (8) hour day as 45 assigned by the employee’s supervisor, except bus drivers, who will be regulated on forty (40) hours 46 per week only. “Time worked” includes compensated time except personal leave.

  • No Layoff to Compensate for Overtime Employees shall not be required to layoff during regular hours to equalize any overtime worked.

  • No Lay-Off to Compensate for Overtime An employee shall not be required to lay-off during regular hours to equalize any overtime worked.

  • Daily Overtime All employees shall be paid the applicable overtime rate of time and one-half (1-1/2) for all time worked in excess of eight (8) hours per day.

  • Overtime Meal Allowance ‌ An employee who works two and one-half hours of overtime immediately before or following his/her scheduled hours of work shall receive a meal allowance of seven dollars. One-half hour with pay shall be allowed the employee in order that he/she may take a meal break either at or adjacent to his/her place of work.

  • Compensation for Overtime 9.5.1 All overtime hours, except those overtime hours exceeding twelve (12) hours in one day, shall be compensated at a rate of pay equal to time and one-half the regular rate of pay of the employee. Those overtime hours exceeding twelve (12) in one day shall be compensated at a rate of pay equal to two times the regular pay of the employee.

  • Overtime Premium Pay Time and one-half (1 1/2) the employee's straight time rate of pay shall be paid for all hours actually worked in excess of forty (40) hours in any one workweek.

  • Allocation of Overtime Subject to the operational requirements of the service, the Employer shall make every reasonable effort:

  • Overtime Meal Allowances (a) An Employee who is required to work a minimum of two and one-half (2½) hours overtime before or after his/her scheduled hours of work, shall be provided with a meal or shall be reimbursed nine dollars ($9.00). A meal break of one-half (½) hour with pay shall be given at the overtime rate. This section shall not apply to an Employee who is on travel status which entitles him/her to claim for lodging and/or meals.

  • Shift Differential Compensation Any employee in the bargaining unit whose assigned work shift commences (for unit-1) prior to 5:30 a.m. or whose work shift ends after 5:30 p.m., or (for unit-2 members) commences after 2:00 p.m. shall be paid a shift differential premium of five (5%) percent above the regular rate of pay for all hours worked.

  • Overtime Premiums All time worked before or after the regularly established working day shall be considered overtime and be paid for at one hundred and fifty (150%) percent of the employee's pro- rated hourly rate for the first two (2) hours and double the employee's regular hourly rate for each hour worked thereafter.
