Relieving Rates of Pay. Employees shall not have their rate reduced by reason of being temporarily assigned to a lower paid classification. Employees permanently assigned to a lower paid Wage Group shall have their hourly rate reduced to the rate for the classification to which they are assigned. Employees temporarily assigned to work in a higher paid classification shall receive the higher rate of pay for all time so employed.

Relieving Rates of Pay. 25.01 When an employee is assigned to relieve in a higher paying classification, th employee shall receive the higher rate of pay where such relieving is for more than one (1) working shift. In such event, the relieving rate will be retroactive to the start of such shift.
