Promotional Policies. A. The promoted employee shall serve a probationary period, as defined in Section 11 of this Agreement. The successful completion of the probationary period shall entitle the employee to a five percent (5%) step increase, and the employee's new anniversary date shall be one (1) year from the completion of the probationary period. There is no requirement to cash out prior compensatory time accrual balances; however, should the employee cash out their account balances, it will be paid at the rate earned. B. Promotional employees are not eligible for a probationary step increase at time of promotion when said promotion occurs simultaneously with an anniversary increase or when promotion to a new range results in a 5% or higher increase. ▇. A promoted probationary employee may be returned to his/her previous position for any lawful reason at any time during the probationary period. A "lawful reason" includes the employee's failure to perform satisfactorily his/her duties during the probationary period.
Promotional Policies. A. No person shall be hired for any position unless he/she meets all listed specifications. B. 1. Administrative positions or any other positions calling for a differential or ratio payment above that of a classroom teacher's salary shall be posted for a period of seven (7) school days, if the opening occurs prior to seven (7) school days of the closing of schools in June.

The following timeline has been established to require posting, in rank order, the names of the top ten students (the actual grade point average for these students will not be posted, only the rank order in which they are positioned at that time) . At the end of the second marking period of the junior year, the names of the top ten students ranked in order will be posted; this ranking will be based on Carnegie units earned through the beginning of their junior year, inclusive of summer school. . At the end of the junior year, a revised list of the top ten students in rank order will again be posted. . No later than the 20th day in both fall and spring semester, a revised list of the top 10 students (inclusive of those who declared their intent to graduate and who have been moved into senior status under the conditions listed above reflective of all summer school work, will be posted. Pupil appraisal services are an integral part of the total instructional program of the school system. The purpose of pupil appraisal services is to assist students who have learning problems, adjustment problems, or other special needs by providing services to students, parents, teachers, and other school personnel. Some examples are provided below.
