Promotion Committees. 20.B.2.1 The Promotion Committee shall consist of five (5) members including: 20.B.2.1.1 four (4) academic librarians holding continuing appointments: two (2) from the Librarian and Associate Librarian ranks, and two (2) from the Assistant and General Librarian ranks elected by academic librarians meeting in committee;

Promotion Committees. 20.A.2.1 Subject to, and in accordance with, the Guidelines established in s. 20.A.1.3.3, the xxxx/director, shall be responsible for establishing a faculty-based nucleus promotion committee to which shall be added representatives for each department. Where possible, the majority of the voting members of the promotion committee are to be persons from the candidate's department who have the expertise to judge the achievements of the candidate.
Promotion Committees. 13.5.1.1 Promotion from Lecturer to Senior Lecturer will follow the college-specific Lecturer Faculty promotion policy and process documents through the level of the Xxxx. The final promotion decision will be made by the Xxxx in consideration of the materials provided by the faculty member, the recommendation of the department committee, and chair and/or program director. The promotion committee shall be assembled by the Department Chair, subject to the Xxxx'x approval. The committee will be comprised of no fewer than three members: at least one Lecturer of higher rank, and at least one faculty member at the Associate or Full Professor rank in that department or program. Department Chairs (or program coordinators) may serve on committees. Efforts shall be made to include committee members with similar disciplinary background. If the department has no Senior or Principal Lecturers, or if no suitable other faculty in the department are available, committee members will be selected by the Xxxx from a related department.
Promotion Committees. 13.4.1.1 Promotion to Senior Lecturer will be granted by the College Xxxx, based on the recommendation of the promotion committee and the judgment of the Xxxx. The promotion committee will be comprised of the department chair or program coordinator, at least one Lecturer of higher rank, and at least one other tenure track faculty member at the Associate or Full Professor rank in that department or program. Efforts shall be made to include committee members with similar disciplinary background. If the department has no Senior or Principal Lecturers, one will be selected by the Xxxx from a closely-related department.
