Pre-Production Meetings. If there are Pre-Production Meetings scheduled, the primary resident inspector may participate in design review and pre-production meetings with the CITY. At these meetings, the configuration of the buses and the manufacturing processes shall be finalized, and all Contract documentation provided to the inspector. No less than thirty (30) days prior to the beginning of bus manufacture, the primary resident inspector may meet with the Contractor’s quality assurance manager and may conduct a pre-production audit meeting. They shall review the inspection procedures and finalize inspection checklists. The resident inspectors may begin monitoring bus construction activities two weeks prior to the start of bus fabrication.

Pre-Production Meetings.  Attend meeting to provide the following: - Review specifications - Establish lines of communications - Review and confirm the prototype and final production schedules  Audit the Contractor’s and major sub-contractors’ facilities to assess production readiness and manufacturing plans.  Review the applicable QA program to ensure that the Contractor’s QA organization follows processes for controlling the quality of the design, tooling calibration, receiving inspection, corrective actions, and manufacturing.  Audit the Contractor’s procedures and in-plan systems for control of nonconforming materials and practices to verify that nonconforming materials are not incorporated into, or installed on, the streetcar vehicles.  Audit and assess the Contractor’s control of factory test operations to confirm that all vehicles are functionally and road tested for compliance with specifications.  Support the MAPS office in an inspection audit of the work instructions, production tooling, machinery and testing equipment, and methodology to confirm the Contractor can produce components to the required quality standards and specifications.  Assess the training, experience, and ability of the work force along with the Contractor’s ability to comply with any contract specific requirements associated with funding sources/grants, etc.  Audit the process by which personnel are certified and other specialized processes, such as heat treatments, welding, plating, etc.  Verify that quality records are maintained throughout the manufacturing process and that supplier and sub-contractor QA programs control meet the MAPS office requirements for coordinating documentation, performance, purchasing, and quality.  Examine the material handling procedures including an in-depth review of the procedures for packaging and shipping finished items and vehicles as well as the unloading of the new vehicles at designated delivery sites and those vehicles for other customers bought under the MAPS contract.  Review the Contractor’s change control, configuration management, and document management systems to verify that each are able to comply with the contract provisions and monitor changes from the baseline specification.  Ensure that the Contractor is ensuring the same requirements are implemented throughout the sub-contractors.  Monitor and report on all activities to examine whether requested changes and design definitions might adversely affect the program, including schedules, spe...

  • Joint Meetings 10.1(a) Should either party desire to discuss with the other any matter affecting generally the relationship of the parties, a meeting of Union and management representatives shall be arranged upon request of either party.   • Open Meetings (a) All scheduled meetings of the Employer shall be open meetings, except in those cases where personnel, financial or other matters require that the meeting be considered confidential.
