Other Sick Leave Provisions. Employees who are absent on sick leave for a period in excess of their accrued sick leave shall be allowed to use their accrued vacation, saved holiday, and/or compensatory time to cover such time off. At the option of the employee, the employee may retain up to forty (40) hours of vacation time prior to being placed on leave without pay. Leaves without pay shall be subject to the approval of management.
