MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST. Duties: Under direction, to perform duties such as the following in the Plant Hospital: ▪ To obtain, and prepare for examination, samples of various body secretions and fluids and perform tests normally done in a hospital clinical laboratory. ▪ To prepare and document samples for outside laboratory tests. ▪ To prepare reagents. ▪ To perform minor maintenance on laboratory equipment. ▪ To prepare and maintain records and reports. ▪ To be the technician in charge of the laboratory when required. ▪ To observe all safety precautions and practice good housekeeping in the laboratory. ▪ May also be required to operate the Whole Body Counter and substitute for the X‐Ray Technologist.

MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST. Upon ratification any Medical Technologist I, II, or III currently possessing the minimum qualifications for Medical Lab Scientist will be placed in that position and will be placed at Grade 18. Those not possessing the minimum qualifications will remain in their current position.
MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST. An employee who is a graduate of an approved training program who has attained certification and is currently registered with CSMLS and/or CAMRT, as applicable. Certification requirements and maintenance of certification for Medical Laboratory Technologist shall be as determined by CMLTM. General Duty Medical Technologist - A Technologist who performs assigned duties in accordance with his/her scope of training and who may be required to carry out peer/trainee functional instruction. Senior Medical Technologist - A Technologist who in addition to the duties of a General Duty Medical Technologist has been delegated the ongoing primary responsibility of maintaining Employer designated diagnostic services in a single technologist unit, or a technical specialty. Charge Medical Technologist - A Technologist who in addition to the duties of General Duty or Senior Medical Technologist is delegated the overall operational and administrative responsibility for a diagnostic unit employing multiple technologists. For the purpose of this Agreement, the following abbreviations shall apply:

Qualifications: and Experience Graduation as a Medical Laboratory Technologist and registrationwith the Canadian Society LaboratoryTechnologists, or its equivalent. Knowledge, Skills and Must have demonstrated the ability to organize the work of a medical laboratory handling a large volume of work. APPENDIX A Must be capable of accurate work.   • Chiropractic Services This plan covers chiropractic visits up to the benefit limit shown in the Summary of Medical Benefits. The benefit limit applies to any visit for the purposes of chiropractic treatment or diagnosis.

  • Hospital and Medical Insurance The University shall make available health insurance to the employees covered by this agreement to the same extent and in the same manner as is available to other University employees, such as Faculty and the Executive, Administrative and Professional Staff employees. It is the University's goal to have the same health insurance plans offered uniformly to all University groups and employees.

  • Clinical 2.1 Provides comprehensive evidence based nursing care to patients including assessment, intervention and evaluation.

  • Dentist a duly licensed Dentist legally entitled to practice dentistry at the time and in the state or jurisdiction in which services are performed.

  • Medical Services Plan 10.1.1 Regular Full-Time and Temporary Full-Time Employees shall be entitled to be covered under the Medical Services Plan commencing the first day of the calendar month following the date of employment.

  • Medical Services We do not Cover medical services or dental services that are medical in nature, including any Hospital charges or prescription drug charges.

  • Mastectomy Services Inpatient This plan provides coverage for a minimum of forty-eight (48) hours in a hospital following a mastectomy and a minimum of twenty-four (24) hours in a hospital following an axillary node dissection. Any decision to shorten these minimum coverages shall be made by the attending physician in consultation with and upon agreement with you. If you participate in an early discharge, defined as inpatient care following a mastectomy that is less than forty-eight (48) hours and inpatient care following an axillary node dissection that is less than twenty-four (24) hours, coverage shall include a minimum of one (1) home visit conducted by a physician or registered nurse.
