Maternity/Paternity/Parental Leave Sample Clauses

Maternity/Paternity/Parental Leave. Unit members are entitled to take up to twelve weeks of parental leave pursuant to Education Code section 44977.5. Unit members may elect to utilize their available sick leave for this purpose or receive the greater of differential pay or 50% pay.

Maternity/Paternity/Parental Leave. 11.4.1 Maternity leave is provided to a female unit member who is absent from her duties because of pregnancy or convalescence following childbirth.
Maternity/Paternity/Parental Leave. 24.01 A pregnant employee who has completed six (6) months of continuous employment with the Company shall be entitled to maternity leave without pay up to a maximum of seventeen (17) weeks, which leave may begin not earlier than eleven (11) weeks prior to the estimated due date and end not later than seventeen (17) weeks following the actual date of birth. The employee must provide the Employer with a medical certificate certifying that she is pregnant.

  • Maternity/Parental Leave The term of the temporary posting shall be for the term of the illness or maternity/parental leave but shall not exceed eighteen (18) continuous months.

  • Maternity/Paternity/Adoption Leave An Employee who is expecting the birth or adoption of a child shall be entitled to maternity/paternity/adoption leave without pay, provided she presents a medical certificate confirming the probable date of confinement, or in the case of adoption, gives the Employer notice of eligibility. Except in extenuating circumstances, the notice shall be submitted in writing at least twenty-eight (28) days in advance of the leave and shall specify the probable date of commencement and the anticipated length of leave. The following conditions shall apply:

  • Maternity/Parental/Adoption Leave Maternity/Parental/Adoption leave shall be granted as a right as per the Employment Standards Act.

  • Maternity Maternity leaves, not to exceed six (6) months, shall be granted at the request of the employee.
