Length of Personal Leave. A Personal Leave of absence may be granted to cover an absence of more than five (5) days and may extend to a maximum of twelve (12) weeks. Leaves beyond thirty (30) calendar days must have the approval of the division head and the Human Resources Director. No more than twelve (12) weeks may be used in any three (3) year period measured forward from the first day of a personal leave.

Length of Personal Leave. All such leaves require specific approval and shall not exceed ninety (90) calendar days in duration from the last day worked; provided however, a leave of absence for career-related education, including a course of study leading up to a bachelor's degree, may be granted up to a cumulative total of six (6) months at the discretion of the Library and, additionally, a leave of absence for a course of study leading to an MLS (Master of Library Science) at an ALA-accredited graduate school of Library science may be granted up to one (1) year at the discretion of the Library.
Length of Personal Leave. A leave of absence, not to exceed three (3) months, but which can be extended to one (1) year including any vacation leave and personal leave day balances may, in the sole discretion of the Chief of Police or his/her designee, be granted. Insured benefits such as health insurance and accrued benefits such as vacation leave will be provided only for the period of absence that the employee is in a paid leave status. The employee must make arrangements with the Benefit and Compensation Services Office of the Human Resources Department if continuation of insured benefits is desired. Periods of non-pay status of ninety (90) days or more will result in adjustment to the employment anniversary and seniority dates to reflect the period of time such employee is in such status.

  • Personal Leave Written request for a personal leave of absence without pay will be considered on an individual basis by the Hospital. Such requests are to be submitted to the employee's immediate supervisor at least four (4) weeks in advance, unless not reasonably possible to give such notice, and a written reply will be given within fourteen (14) days except in cases of emergency in which case a reply will be given as soon as possible. Employees needing personal leave days for appointments with medical practitioners may utilize the personal leave language. Such leave shall not be unreasonably withheld.

  • Extended Personal Leave Personal leave without pay not to exceed thirty (30) 26 days may be granted at the discretion of the Superintendent. Personal leave in 27 excess of thirty (30) days shall be subject to approval by the Board.

  • Unpaid Personal Leave Where an employee has exhausted all paid personal leave entitlements, they are entitled to take unpaid personal leave to care for members of their immediate family or household who are sick and require care and support or who require care due to an unexpected emergency. The employer and the employee shall agree on the period. In the absence of agreement, the employee is entitled to take up to two days (up to a maximum of 16 hours) of unpaid leave per occasion, provided the requirements of 7.2.5(a) and 7.2.5(b) are met.

  • Personal Leave Day A. An employee may choose one (1) workday as a personal leave day each fiscal year during the life of this Agreement if the employee has been continuously employed for more than four (4) months.

  • Personal Leave of Absence The Administrator may grant a request for leave of absence for personal reasons without pay provided that he receives at least one (1) month's clear notice, in writing, unless impossible, and provided that such leave may be arranged without undue inconvenience to the normal operations of the Nursing Home. Employees when applying for such leave shall indicate the proposed date of departure and return. Such leave shall not be unreasonably withheld.
